I feel very sorry for the victims family but for them to sue the Theatre and Live Nation is crazy. First Midwest Theatre and Live Nation did not make the victim get in the car with an intoxicated driver... This family are surely suffering greatly and I'm very sorry for that but they don't deserve one dime from the theatre or Live Nation...
So sorry for their lost

My prayers go out to the family! If I'm reading correctly the daughter accepted a ride from the driver and thats the venue or Live Nations fault? I to am very sorry for their lost but how could she place blame on the wrong people?

Ridiculous! The venue didn't make the choice of getting in the car, her daughter did.

She gets nothing except compassion for her loss

The venue is responsible for continuing to sell and allowing that driver to be served alcohol when she was already intoxicated. It's not only their right, but their responsibility to refuse to serve someone who is already intoxicated, that is the law. Maybe Megan would have returned home safely to her family that night had that driver not been able to continue to consume alcohol. Losing a child is the worst nightmare a parent can go through. My prayers and thoughts are with the Elam family.

Yes it is terrible that this girl died in the crash. But sadly she is too blame for getting in the car with the intoxicated driver. The theater can not be held accountable for the intoxicated person. Its not the same person serving each individual the alcohol. They don't keep track. They sell thousands of cups of beer a night. Its a sue happy world we live in and I believe this is another case of that. And to say how can they serve an intoxicated person? Go to a bar. They do it all the time.

There was open alcohol in the car.
They did not buy or get that bottle from the Concert.
I have attended a Concert & did drink.
I had to have ID and was only allowed 2 which came in a paper cup.
It seems to me they clearly got the Liquor from somewhere else.

They were under age, they were drunk, they might of all been drinking in the car. To me, they were all guilty. Not one had the brains to call for a ride with someone who was sober?
So sad

I have sympathy for all of the Family of the 1-2-3-4 in the car. However, 18 years old is an adult and all did wrong and all should of know much much better.
Drinking and driving kills. Getting in a car with a drunk kills. Driving and drinking ( open alcohol found and they were drunk allegedly ).

I know it hurts but i think they are trying to blame the blameless. It is part of the healing process. Place blame.
I hope all the Families recover from this. I hope the ones that survived , learned a very hard lesson. God Bless them all.

This is EXACTLY what is wrong in this country! There is a reason why drinking and driving is illegal. Blame should rest solely with those that were in the car, as painful as that might be.
