If 2Pac was sill alive he wouldn"t be so much popular like now..Eminem vs 2Pac hm..........
I think Eminem more talks from heart and he has better rhymes..2Pac has better flow in songs and he could write 2 good songs while Eminem writes 1, so i think he had more inspiration....You can"t compare this two...For me they are 2 best ever..I am big, big fan of Eminem, not so much of Pac, but i would"t never say that Eminem is better....
So stop arguing and listen 2 maestros....

Yeah right, more like top 10!
1. Stat Quo
2. Trick Trick
3. Mike Jones
4. Three 6 Mafia
5. Field Mob
6. Mos Def
7. Mob Deep
8. Ruff Ryders
9. Mack 10
10. Proof
Mike Jones? Mike Jones? Mike Jones? Mike Jones? he should not EVEN be mentioned.
Here's my top 5...
1) TUPAC (if anyone does NOT have him on their list shame on you)
2) Biggie
3) Snoop Dogg
4) Dr. Dre
5) Ice Cube ( this spot I'm not sure about, it's open for debate)
There may be others that are worthy enough to be included amongst "the top 5 of all-time"
As far as Eminem, I like him and his work and he potentially, in my opinion, could be included in this list, maybe number five spot. Let me know what you think...

Yes, it is quite obvious that you DON'T listen to Tupac after making a statement like that. EVERYTHING Tupac wrote came from his heart. I'm not going to sit here and diss Eminem or compare him to pac because like you said it would be pointless; they are two different rappers with two different different styles. HOWEVER, untill you have actually listened to pac's music, I mean all his music, then you can't comment on his talent. Vice Versa when it comes to Eminem, untill I have listened to all his work I won't comment on his talent, although from what I have heard from Em, I would say he is talented and among the better rappers today.

agreed with both of you but i have to listened to just about all of Eminem and i own Every Cd, Movie, soundtracks or watever of Pac's.
Very Tru they have COMPLETELY different styles, so its tough to compare, but like he said makin a statement about Pac not comin from the heart... Come on... Every song he made was from the heart..
So no disrespect to Em, but Pac takes it

Also very true Mike Jones? he aint even on my top 25, makin 1 or 2 songs a year doesn't cut it. But your Top 5 is a great top 5!

Thanks mayne, and yes it is amazing who some rap entusiasts consider "good"; actually it's quite sad. Those with limited intellect are usually attracted to "catchy" lyrics because it's easy for them to process and memorize, and cuz it doesn't involve any thinking. Pac made ya think, his lyrics had meaning and at the SAME time his shit was hot enough to bump in your car/boombox. R.I.P pac we love ya!!!

Its clear to see that everyone has their different choice of top 10 rappers. What about record sales? What about concistant albums.First album, dont count because youre new and people want to hear what u gotta say.2 pac,Biggie,Jay Z,Lil Wayne.T.I.,kanye west. They all are great rappers with different styles. So no one will ever be able to answer that question on whos the greatest.Bottom line.If u speak real and people can relate, then u have my vote.Beats and dances let a lot of people cheat the'yre way into the rap game.People listen to hooks now days, but lyrics determine whether you continue to stay on top.Its now about how long u been in the game.its about how long u stay on top of the game.

Dat is true dawg, 2pac was the real sh*t when it came to Rap music. If he was still alive, he would be tha biggest thang out there dawg and everyone be sceamin 2pac's name instead of Eminem's. cause Eminem can only rap about a thrashed past, 2pac was Rappin' about his gangsta life and wat he experienced in gang life which is a hell of alot better than hearin' Eminem talk about a trashed past, that's just wat i think how about yall guys?

How can no one on this site put Andre 3000 in a tope ten? Listen to ATLiens, Aquemini, Stankonia, Southernplayacadilacfunkymusic , and listen to the poetry he spits. Write down his lyrics. He is second only to Eminem as far as writing, and his flow might be better.
1. Tupac
2. Eminem
3. Andre 3k
