Modern rap is not music, it's all about girls sucking this, or guys shooting this. Most rappers have songs like this, but the rappers like jay z, pac, biggie, Em, some more rappers, have tons of songs with actual meaning and songs where thought actually went into the lyrics. Not like Lil wayne or lil john(especially lil john).
A few rappers I like besides the ones up here are: Wyclef jean (idk if he's a rapper, might be something else) Dre (Helped rap more than anyone else) Grandmaster flash(old school awesome) Sugarhill gang (1 song, best song ever, one good rap song without any cuss words) Mos Def (he's one of those rappers that doesn't really curse that much immortal technique (good rap) Some more (I tend to like rappers who don't flood their songs with curses, it sounds better) Plenty more |
