Mary is a racist! If it wasnt for Elvis her and chuck d and everyone eles that talks shit about Elvis wouldnt be shit. Did she know him? NO she didnt . Everyone says he was not racist listen to his music like in the getto great song. Look at old photos youll see him with black people. I agree Chuck Berry and Little Richard did it first but Elvis made it big bought it out in the spot light. If he hadnt how knows were the likes of Mary j. would be now. If any thing she sould be thanking him.

Bullshit!!!!!! people like Chuck Berry and little Richard made R&B what it is today!Elvis was popular with the white audience and before you gimme that garbage about "race card!" let me just say that alot of groups that were black never made it because of racial tension back then if you came out with a song some producer liked, it was either stolen or you were bought out because they figured a white man could sing it and sell it better than a minority in that particular era.I could careless about who he took pictures with, who's style did he study before some producer saw that he could sing like a black man and just like any other white man wanted to take credit for it!!? Mary is Mary because she's Mary Elvis didn't make nobody somebody made him!!.You and Elvis fans should be thanking us!

Saying "Everyone says he was not racist listen to his music like in the getto great song." is an illogical fallacy. What everyone else says about Elvis doesn't make it true.

The only way to find out to either raise him from the dead ask or examine the hidden parts of his life.

The question of this topic is How did Elvis Get Turned into a Racist? Not who is responsible for making R&B. Elvis met racism himself when he first began singing, and it was by white people who thought he sounded too much like a black singer! If you have not followed Elvis' career, you cannot speak w/knowledge about what Elvis wanted to take credit for. Elvis was his own man, which is why he IS THE LEGEND he is today, even 30 years after his death. He didn't have to "steal" from anyone. As far as thanking YOU (ha-ha), every singer is inspired by someone, but a singer has to have a great gift in order to touch as many peoples' lives as Elvis did. I don't think you deserve any credit for that.

Huey Newton was a homo. He used to "break in" new 'cruits to the Panthers by performing anal sex on them. It's all been documented, negro. Pull the wool from over your eyes and put it on your wooly-haired head (like wooly-haired Jesus).
Can you provide some online proof of this please? I'd greatly appreciate it. I can't help but to not believe in this statement of yours.

Elvis is one of many musical performers who helped to break down the "race" barrier in the USA. Many black artists served that cause as well.

Elvis was a great performer, but not to be credited with most of the innovation in rock music. Far more important were people, white and black and other, like Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Buddy Holly, Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash, Ritchie Valens, Ray Charles, etc.

Elvis in his music and his dress was far too "black" for the segregated times in which he appeared. Obviously he was quite willing to cross the racial barrier and though of course you could say it was only to further his own career and wealth, still he served a good social purpose in so doing.

There is a good song by John Trudell about the importance of Elvis, on his "Graffiti Man" album.

Still he DID say some racist shit to his Black crew and they walked out on him. I remember hearing that on the history channel.

Thanks, Barbee. ELVIS actually helped paved the way for acceptance of blacks as equals...so it is shocking to me to hear anyone say that ELVIS was a racist. It is a totally unfair and unjust accusation.

Don't tell me what the topic is because it's other irre;evant posts on here that don't even connect with it either I can say whatever I choose to who can stop me you!?If it weren't for Black entertainers back then Elvis wouldn't be who people like you think he is today and if it weren't for black entertainers to steal from we wouldn't know if he was a racist or not only the people in Memphis,TN would know that! But I expect some elvis fan like you to defend something so sensitive!.If he was or wasn't (which is a petty issue anyway)is no concern to me but I feel Mary>she said she prayed on it because he was racist so actually she questioned GOD not his fans!!!

Forget the "online proof" for once. You morons think anything you read online is absolute truth. Half of what's posted on line is lies, especially on black websites. Read the book by David Horowitz about his days as an advisor to Huey and the Black Panthers. He witnessed first hand what a sadistic gay perv Newton was.
And morons like yourself who read "hear say" BOOKS written and documented by MAN (or woman) believe anything they feed you huh? Some people write books for $$$$$$$$. Can you provide proof of any sort to this bold statement though? I'd greatly appreciate it. And the "lies" aren't only on "black" sites because tell tall lies as well. Remember you fun-dummies had the world believing that the world was ROUND but instead it is FLAT? Do you remember?

So your concern is with Mary J Blige? If she's religious, she wouldn't question GOD. You make no sense. The bottom line, she was questioning whether Elvis was racist or not. The people that knew Elvis and are long time followers of Elvis, know that he was not racist. Who cares was Mary J Blige thinks! Her legacy will not live on as Elvis' has. Go take your trash talk somewhere else. It isn't necessary here.

People like Kadafi, or whatever his name is, don't see that. IDIOTS. Elvis was who he was, plain and simple. He didn't try to imitate anybody.

Try to make some sense next time, Ashy Azz.
Ok HONKEY-tonk man, I will. You "WHITES" were the ones who publicly stated that the planet EARTH was ROUND many years ago, THEN years later after other researchers retested that theory, found out the planet EARTH is actually F-L-A-T. You are one dumb boy you know that? I don't think I put any more vividly than now for you. You're just acting like this because you don't want to admit that you're not as bright as the shining stars "projected" you all to be LOL. Put the Crystal Method down and start embracing the truth for once. You result to insults whenever someone puts you in your place so I've noticed that.
