I agree it is a landmark heavy metal album by one of the best metal bands.

True mike, but I don't believe it's in the same neighborhood as Pink Floyd's 'Dark Side Of The Moon'.

You are right this record would only appeal to metal heads Abbey Road or Dark side of the Moon appeal to a wider variety of listeners and are far better produced. Just because a record sales a lot of copies that doesn't make it automatically a good record just look at Lady Gaga or Justin Bieber.
