If bands like ACDC and Metallica are still releasing albums then surely nirvana would still have a chance

yeah of course they would!
I've spoken with lots of ppl who were too young to have experienced Nirvana at the time but have totally got into their music....so yeah the demand is still out there albeit small...but if they were a band right now then they'd be as popular as they were in the 90s I reckon
