I've also read that BJ ripped off some other people as well. I don't remember what it was you'll probably have to wiki it. And Johnny Rotten from the Sex P's called them plonk. I don't care for the Sex Pistols but when I read it I found it funny cuz I could just picture his English accent saying plonk.

Another thing too people always argue about the old Green Day before they sold out and they talk about Dookie and that phase well Dookie was their sell out move. They were sell outs to start. That was what they wanted. American Idiot did gain them the popularity back after their long hiatus and it wasn't political to me at all. Not once did I find it to be political punk. It was the same teen angst they played then.

Now that I think about it, the way Setzer holds his guitar is similar to Billie as well... I didn't even notice until you pointed it out.

It's not just me that saw the similarity! The reason I got into Stray Cats is because I saw their records in a store & thought Brian Setzer looked a bit like a 50's/80's Rockabilly BJ. The fact they were a three piece too. Hitchin' a Ride also lifts from Stray Cat Strut in vocal refrain as well as riff. They both wrote songs called Boulevard of Broken Dreams.I really don't mind. People get inspired & emulate & they're already people ripping off BJ or BS through BJ. They probably have lots more in common. I want to see them play & collaborate together. BJ's rhythms & B.S.'s licks would be great.
