You failed to mention that the great white cornetist Bix Beiderbecke lived for a short time at 43-30 46th Street, Sunnyside, Queens. Bix died at age 28 in his apartment on August 6, 1931, after a brief illness. Every year, Bix fans gather in front of the building for a vigil. There is a plaque affixed on the front of the building.
