Sorry to hear about Natalie! I make kidney matches - no charge. If G-d forbid Natalie will need a kidney, can someone have her get in touch with me?

Sincerely,

How do you make kidney matches?. Do you run your own organ donor network?. Not everyone is eligible for transplantation, espicially if there are other co-morbidities. And why do you just want Natalie Cole to get in touch with you?. If you are going to extend your services to her, you should extend your services to all of those waiting and praying for a transplant.

I myself had donated a kidney 3 years ago to a stranger. Since my kidney donation, I have been wanting to do more. So I first took out a booth to promote kidney donation at an Expo at the Javits Center. I have since accumulated a list of many people in need of a kidney. I got my brother as well to donate a kidney - to someone on my list of people in need of a kidney.

I post on the internet seeking kidney donors and put up fliers as well. I also speak to people I meet. I have made kidney matches as a result. This is my project. I don't get paid and don't charge a fee.

Stories about me and my kidney donation and project to save lives of others in need of a kidney has been published in newspapers in New York, New Jersey, Minnesota and Britain and in Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz's publication and Assemblyman Dov Hikind's newsletter. I have also been on radio programs, including "This American Life" on NPR. I have spoken at events including a Kidney Disease and Organ Transplantation Forum at a public school in Brooklyn that was attended by government officials. An upcoming article about me will be in Prevention Magazine in either the January or February 2009 edition.

If someone wants to donate a kidney - please e-mail me at KidneyMitzvah@aol.com. Since I donated a kidney, I can give you all the info you need. If someone needs a kidney, you can e-mail me as well. But it is difficult to find donors and I do have a list of many people in need of a kidney.

All I can tell you people is that God gave us two kidneys for a reason. What will you do if the remaining one quits on you?

I'm sure one of the illegal invaders will sell one for a couple bucks. If not, the kids in Patchogue will stomp one and forge his organ donor card. No thanks necessary and mazeltov.

IN TODAY ONLINE NY POST
ShellyAnn King was resting in her hospital bed at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn on Oct. 27, dreaming of a new future.

In a bed beside her was her husband, Michael - a man who loved her so much, he had just given her a kidney.

Suddenly, Michael's heart monitor started beeping.

"Something is happening to my husband! Please, save my husband!" ShellyAnn cried out.

Hospital workers rushed in, pulled the curtain between their beds and began pumping on his chest, urging, "Michael, open your eyes."

It was the last time ShellyAnn, 33, would see her 29-year-old spouse alive.

Now, after he made the ultimate sacrifice to save her life, she has learned that hospital insiders believe Michael's death was preventable - the result of serious errors in the surgery and the emergency response that night.
