Eminem is what Nas could be if he had that ill mentality that Em has. That I did/do drugs, serial killer, just don't give a f**k mentality. Nas is what Eminem could be if he was all about positivity in a negatively influenced form of media. Nas is trying to be the light to guide us out of rap's dark age where hip-hop is dead. Then you have all these other people who are living off the dark. People like Jay-Z. People like Lil' Wayne. People like Rick Ross, Snoop Dogg and The Game. Everybody wants to be a gangsta or a pimp or a killer. Nobody wants to be a rapper. Nobody wants to see the kids succeed. Everybody just wants to live and teach the hustle. The hustle was a dance in the 70's people. Wake up.

Whoa dude calm the f**k down and please get off Em's d***. Record sales mean shit in this forum first of all. Secondly I am deeply disturbed by Quence's post above. UMM how can you say this is YOUR list for top selling artists???? This is a list that is FACT and cannot be opinion and sorry to say but The Game is not on that list bro and neither is B.I.G. considering he basically released only 2 albums before his untimely death. Oh yeah and don't say Pac can suck a d*** on record sales when Em passes him up. You just had your hip/hop card revoked and are officially sealed to Em's d***. Bring it
yo man i see where your coming from but i think you should save the "bring it" for these guys here: http://www.topix.com/forum/who/lil-wayne

Jesus Christ I'm so glad my mind can actually interpret things that are interesting and can stimulate the mind, and are not about lollipops, firemen, dj's, or how many times you can create a idiotic metaphor for local fast food chains. In another words....if you think Lil Wayne even compares or can even be uttered in the same sentence as the likes of...I'll start new sentence

Eminem, Biggie, Pac, Nas, Jay-Z, Tech N9ne, Immortal Technique, Kool G Rap, Daddy Kane, and many many others kill Wayne like Dexter Morgan does societies shit-faces.

See, this is a comment that is obviously coming from someone who doesn't know the difference between hip-hop and rap. With all the people out there rappin about hustlin and bangin, who do the people who don't hustle and bang have to relate to? The mainstream media is trying to paint every rapper as a hood. Busta Rhymes came out on a party tip and was successful and then he does a remix of Hustlin with Rick Ross talkin about his coke connect with Pablo Escobar's daughter? That was a lowpoint in Hip-Hop for me. That should've been a low point in Busta's career. People just let that kind of stuff go though.

I have to agree with you, Low. Weezy is NOT the best or even one of the best. The fact that he went on this mixtape spree over the summer is what has people talking about him so much but, the reason why the mix tape material sounds so hot is because, people nowadays will accept anything. I mean, honestly, do you think D4L could've put out a hit in 1989? Lil' Wayne spits a bunch of syllables about nothing and as long as the beat has a lot of bass in it, he gets credit for putting out a hot song. It's that simple.

Ok thank you for explaining that to the people that think Lil Wayne is actually good that will read the posts on this forum. There really needs to be a change in the music industry very soon. If Eminem, Nas, Tech N9ne will all release albums this year along with Detox hopefully and that should give the power to "move" the game and either make Lil Wayne actually make good music or it will annihilate this whole movement of moronic music with a wasted beat with no lyrics and prove that it is a fad/phase. Rapping must be seen as an art form, and the more rappers that accept this and want to better their skills and actually put "work" into their rhymes and say something will get more people to see how wonderful it is and thus making it more mainstream but not mind-numbing to children.

While 2 pac was a great rapper and i have nothing against him and own most of his albums, i must say it is ignorant to say he is the best rapper of all time. The only reason people say that is because what he simbolized and how he died, and now everybody just seems to accept that he is the best rapper and no body wants too disagree. Any ways 90 percent of underground rappers r better then mainstream. In my opinion Nas is the best rapper just listen too illmatic youll understand. And listern too some underground.
