The Goth Subculture is older than any form of "Emo".

No, Emo doesn't mean Emotional, it originally stood for "Emotive Hardcore" and then later just became Emo; it's not just a simple abbreviation for Emotional or Emotional music.

Goth has been around for ages. not only the subculture that emerged in the late 70's and 80's. There was gothic philosophy and writing from the victorian era, and beyond. Emo is actually a fairly recent thing. Most of the confusion between gothic and emo is that we both tend to wear alot of black, which someone from either subculture would tell you is not the purpose of either of them.

and also for athazagoraphobia, what do you mean Goth isnt emotional? Every goth I've ever met has been emotional, I happen to be one of them. Gothic music was originally based from post-punk rock, the evolution took place when the bands began to become more melodic and more "emotionally" driven. Original goth bands such as Bauhaus, Joy Division, The Cure, etc. listen to any of them and tell me their not emotional.

Also, Moth, I'll keep an open mind. Always be proud of who you are.

In case you didn't read my other apology, I want you (Moth) to know I was saying what I said to those who torment me at school. I'm SO sorry. You didn't deserve my harsh words, and I know you're not who I described. Today I became the people who walk over me, and knowing that I said those things makes me disgusted in myself. Sorry isn't even close to what I wish to say. Please don't take my words to heart. I'm the jurk, not you.

in all honsty does it matter what yuor lable is?
its the person who makes the person not the lable...i have met skaters wo r the collest ppl in the world, and just the opposite, the same goes for preps, goths, emos, jocks, poulars, plastics, normals, nerds, and nobodies
if u seriously hav too resort to lables to judge a person then u hav some serious issues that u might want to take care of b4 someone takes care of them for u...
in case u havent noticed we live in the 21st century we dont live in like the 2700s where u arent allowed to hang wiht other ppl...
anywho, mymain message is lables are lame and so is anyone who follows them
