i disagree. i don't think it's more emo than goth, neither is it more goth than emo.

it's all in the mind! not the outside!

Nah. I'm not talking about the fake ass "emo" liberty spikes, I was talking about the ones the punks used to wear...and some still do around here.
The ones I'm talking about...

To say what I think of emo "liberty spikes", they look like a hairstyle some J-Rocker would wear. They aren't liberty spikes at all.
I'm kind of sick of the gelled up hair look on me, but that doesn't mean I don't think it looks freaking awesome on other people.

The way they did their makeup was "Goth" as you put it. I don't think the hairstyle is Goth at all, I put it more with the punks than anyone else. When I go to clubs, I see guys with either really long hair, buzz cut, or a mohawk. I don't really see liberty spikes in the Goth clubs too much, but I see it all the time at the punk shows.

He was going on the way the person fashioned their makeup in that picture. Thats all. If they had blue or green hair with an eyebrow or lip piercing, he probably would've said something else. What he did is profile the picture. The person had a pale face, heavy black eyeliner, and red hair. So he assumed Goth. For all we know that person could be really into metal and not like Goth rock at all. But eh, I'm wasting my energy.

Thats exactly my problem! I wonder if I could poll it on a popular site to see how many takers I would have...but you're right. Set up a page on one of those sites that you sell stuff on, and see how many takers I have.

I have quite a few things I went and altered. The skirts aren't for sale or even a blueprint [got them 4 years ago altered them last year], but everything else is a prototype. I think I have as far as parasols go, somewhere around 10. I have one last idea though. Using a black umbrella, use silver beading thread and make a spiderweb. Like the umbrella caught a gorgeous silver spiderweb.

First off, the people who label themselves are wemos (wannabe emo kids).

And now here's your answer:

This link talks about some of the history. You can always try typing "what is the emo history?" in google and look around in other sites. I'd like to write the history in my own words but I'm on my iPhone and I'm kind of lazy. LOL hope this helps!

I did get around to it. I thought I was done, but it looks like a big flower with lines through it. So I'm more along the lines of 75% finished. I need to do more work to make it look like an actual spiderweb on the brellie. When I finished the half I did so far, I broke down in tears after spending three hours on it. I thought I had wasted my time and it was a waste, it just needs a little more time and work. I will post pics of it when I'm all finished. I mean completely finished.

i agree with all of you...i dont believe that most people that claim to be emo are in fact emo they are fake ass little kiddies that want to pretend to have problems to get attention from mommy and daddy. emo is not a genre of music(ive heard alot of them listening to hip-hop and if thats emo then look out posers are taking over...) or in all honesty a fashion its not a hair cut or pair of skinny jeans... i in fact am an emo for me the term means emotional i dont need attention in fact i like to be left alone with my emotional problems i was emo before it became mainstream bs i dont wear skinny jeans dont even own a pair. i think its disgusting that boys wear girl pants and most "emo" boys wear way to much makeup when the mainstream "emo" dies out (and it will) i will still be the same person i was before it was a mainstream trend. and btw i listen to metal, death metal, hardcore, thrash metal and rock....slayer, carcas, megadeth, slipknot,
mudvayne, lamb of god, a7x and i like HIM's pre margera music i listen to what i like...btw i do have clinically diaganosed bipolar 1 disorder along with general anxiety disorder so my depressio is not fake....to all the "emo" posers out there your transparent the world sees through you so go cry about that maybe if you cut yourselves a few more times mommy and daddy will give you the attention your looking for. if anybody knows some good music underground im always open to suggestions to the emo haters out there take it easy on me i agree the fake emos should vanish!

You sound more like you are more of a metalhead. And waaaaaaaaaaaaay before this emo stuff went mainstream emo did not ever mean emotional. It was short for emotive hardcore. Because thats what the music was. I still think it sucks, but thats me. And it seems to me like the poseur emos that you're talking about that listen to hip hop and junk are scene kids. And I will agree, they are annoying.

emo originated from a form of a music genre, then transformed some how into a style. but if u want to be emo its all about the music, some emo bands are My Chemical Romance,, Fall Out Boy, Flyleaf, Bullet For My Valentine, Escape The Fate, ect...im emo and i have always been called a freak by the preps, girly girls, and cheerleaders.
