Just to change the feel of this forum a little bit more...whats your favorite horror movie? Could be anything. From way back when they still had black and white film, could even be recent.
I have quite a few actually.[not in specific order]
Creature from the Black Lagoon
Night of the Living Dead [or any George Romero zombie film]
28 Days Later/28 Weeks Later
The Dead Hate the Living
Dead and Breakfast [everyone I know hates it. says its too cheesy, but I still love it to death]
I really really like zombie movies.
Whats are your favorites?

Resident Evil was pretty good. Do you know that theres a new Resident Evil movie out? I can't remember what its called, but its all animated. Like computer animation, its supposed to be really good. And I can't believe I forgot Silent Hill and House on Haunted Hill [Vincent Price is awesome!] I haven't really gotten to see Stay Alive or any of The Saw movies yet, I really liked The Ring. I own the second one because a friend bought it for me, I just can't find the first one anywhere. I love those movies!

I've heard about that movie, but I wasn't that interested. Maybe I'll give it a try.
Silent Hill and The Ring scared me at first, but I love them now. Yeah, Vincent price is awesome! I still can't watch Ring 2, it creeps me out too much...

Really? The Ring 2 creeps ya out? I thought it was the better of the two. But I can understand. As a little kid, I was scared as hell of the Freddy Krueger movies. Partly due to those commercials with him on USA and stuff. Now I love the Freddy movies. In time you'll be able to watch the Ring 2. I heard this Resident Evil movie, is supposed to be exactly like the game. The other ones didn't follow the story plot in the game so much. Vincent Price was a very good actor. I love all of his movies.:)

That part when Samara touches the wall and the tree appears scared me, but not as much as the bathtub scene. I'll have to watch the new Resident Evil then...

I heard it was pretty good, I'm gonna check it out myself when I get some money. Yea, that part is kinda creepy. I'm kinda also thinking Hellraiser for some reason. That movie was pretty neat.

I forgot that one!

Do either one of you consider Van Helsing or the Lost Boys horror?

I know some of these aren't exactly horror either, but I've grown quite a liking to them.

Pulse
Shutter
The Thirteenth Floor
Ultra Violet
The Wicker Man

I've never seen hellraiser all the way through. I was scared of Pinhead when I was younger.

That's the weird thing...
I love horror movies, but they make me so damn paranoid!!!

Oh, I love the Lost Boys!!!!! I wanna go watch it now! Van Helsing and the Lost Boys I would kind of consider somewhat like horror. I'm not sure though, I'm really curious now...
I haven't seen those movies, but I can tell you beyond the shadow of a doubt that Shutter was based off a Japanese film. Maybe Pulse too. I think I've seen a small bit of the Thirteenth Floor awhile ago, but I'm not sure.

Hellraisers awesome. Theres actually [I think] 10-12 movies that they've made so far. I only liked up til the Inferno movie. And I hear that they're making a new Hellraiser [same director or producer w/e hes part of it], Clive Barker is helping out on it, but the guy that plays Pinhead isn't coming back. And Pinhead has no pins in his face in this one! Worst off, they're making a new Toxie!!!! I may havae mentioned that before, but its gonna be a tasteful movie this time around. Fox got the rights to it. Eck! Troma did it the best! I'm ranting, I'll stop before my head bursts or something.

i'd say it's gory good, well... not as in those cheesy zombie apocalypse movies, more of a bondage gory good!

if you know what i mean...

it's really good! but if you're looking for realism this is not for you, cuz they kinda enter a mentally sick persons mind, where the "bondage gore begins"

there is a topless female body builder there!

Pulse was a remake, from what I can find out. Thirteenth Floor was pretty good.

I gotcha. I love gory movies, as much as I love the suspenseful ones. It just depends on my mood I guess. When you say that in the movie they give you a look at how a sick person thinks, is it kinda like A Clockwork Orange and how they gave you a brief look into a schizophrenics mind? If so, I'd love to see it. Thats the one with that one latin singer too right?

Kinda like how I used to be with Freddy. With Freddy I kinda thought that his nails were awesome, so thats kinda what drew me to it. Just tell yourself that he doesn't really look like that, hes just an actor with a lot of makeup on. lol.
I've had a code like that before too. Maybe it is coincidence.....or maybe....not.
Nah, I'm jk.

Or am I?

I'm not 100% certain that it was originally a Japanese film, but I know that a lot of movies coming out are as so to say "borrowed" from Japanese filmmakers. I'm not saying that the fact that they're remakes are bad,[in some cases, although rare, the remakes are as good as the original or better because it offers a new perspective to the story] I just said that I recognize the title from a Japanese film.
I'm sorry if I caused any confusion.
