Sorry. All the bi polar females I've known haven't been Gothic. I knew one that claimed to be Gothic, but her idea of Gothic was little more than a mixture between Trent Reznor and Hot Topic.

There is this other bi polar girl I know. She's more of a punk type than anything else. she's one of my best mates. They put her on Prozac at a very early age (when she didnt need it) and if messed her brain chemistry up so bad that now her body needs it or she goes crazy. When I say crazy I mean, CRAZY. Last time she was off her meds She had a knife to my throat, and was trying to strangle me with the ank hanging around my neck. She started strangling her boyfriend and I had to hit her over the head to knock her out (all while talking on the phone casually)
She can be a real sweetheart when she's on her meds, but as soon as she's off them she's like one of the infected from 28 Days Later.

I am a bipolar, Gothic chick and she had some other issues because Bipolar disorder is completely controllable and livable, I don't even take pills. I replaced them with vitamins and I'm fine. It's just like anything else, you can let it cripple you or you can accept that it's in your life to stay and deal with it. Obviously she didn't deal well. ;) Just don't hold it against all of us.

You have a more mild form of Bipolar disorder then, you get some cases that are so extreme that they can't function.(I've only seen a few of them) and then when you combine Schizzophrenia with bipolar disorder (groan), but you are right, most cases don't actually require meds.

Well and even if they do, which I understand some do, it shouldn't be that bad unless there's something else going on, or she's not taking care of herself the way she should be.

You are wrong about you should just be able to handle it. I hope you never meet someone with truly crippling bi-polar, it isn't pretty. Very hard to get under control. Finding the right mix of drugs is almost impossible.

Ever met a schizophrenic-Nymphomaniac? I don't even wanna hear you talk about crippling. I still haven't fully recovered from that encounter *shivers and looks wearily over shoulder*
