I heard; democrats politicians from the Partido Popular of Puerto Rico, that Gov. Acevedo Vila is in conversation with Sen. Obama's advisors to back up Obama in the Democratic Party's Primary. In change Sen. Obama must indult him in case he will found guilty in his federal accussations.

Wright was wrong, but he DOES NOT SPEAK FOR OBAMA!

Obama is NOT Jeremiah Wright, they are 2 VERY DIFFERENT & SEPERATE PEOPLE!

Obama is not racist; he loves all the white, asian, black, hawaiian,....... people that are part of his own family.

Wright was invited to help council Bill Clinton after the Monica Lewinski affair; and he went to the whitehouse to help a WHITE president in need. Wright also endorsed Bill Clinton and contributed to his campaign in the 92 election.
Yeah, he hates all WHITE people, and he's horrible!

The politics of FEAR pushed by the GOP and Clinton campaign only works on ignorant people!
Are we, as "poor white folks" really this ignorant? If you don't like Obama, fine, don't vote for him; but don't flame the inflamatory ignorant fireball of lies!

Don't be hypocrites; was rev. Falwell who endorsed Bush(es), Dole, Reagan,....... any better? He blamed abortion and the gays for Katrina; said it was God's punishment. And Pat Robertson, and others agreed with him publicly!
Somehow that gets NO attention whatsoever?

Get your heads out of your A**es!

Do you think for a minute that if this was the pastor for John McCain that people like Al Sharpton would be calling McCain a racist. Democrats are so quick to place blame but are as quick to say Mr. Wright does not speak for Mr. Obama. Yet, Mr. Obama did not distance himself from this man and his teachings until it started costing him votes. Obama not change, he more of the same, tax and spend. And how is that change? Oh I get it, he wants my change!

I love how Wright intentionally shirked away from most questions , unable to answer anything , he'd have to take responsibility for saying.
The man is obviously "divisive" he thinks in terms of race and not in terms of people. For someone that claims to have loved and read M.L.K. he must have missed his popular quote about color, creed, looks don't matter , only content of there character.
And by the way , though Wright isnt Obama , Obama has a responsibility to the people he hopes to govern to distance himself from this racist lunatic.

Of course he is devisive because he is saying things that are seldom heard by the vast majority of us. It was pointed out that many on the religious right blamed the moral failings of America and that caused 9/11.

Much of what he says is correct, some isn't, but I sure don't want to hear it...it is like my ex reminding me of my failings.

His final words say it best. Rev. Wright is not 75.

The media has trained the masses to pick out pieces, to misquote and to draw conclusions based on the tiniest portion of the truth. Sadly, I doubt most people listening to Dr. Wright understood what he was saying. It truly does take intensive graduate coursework in order to be well-versed in Black Liberation Theology. Also, his language was too rich and powerful for the average American, while his rhetoric offered depth to something the dominant culture tries too hard to ignore.

Ultimately, the truth hurts, but the truth shall set us free. America needs to be liberated from its history of oppression and inequality. Moreover, it must reconcile its present state in order to acheive a sound future, not just for white Americans or black, brown, purple or blue, but for humans here on Earth.

I've been to about 30 countries, and I can honestly say that the world needs Obama. Sadly, Americans just can't seem to reconcile its history with race. We can't see beyond black and white. Read the speech, and pick up a dozen books....and read those, too. I recommend that you read each word, not just 2 sentences out of the text. And while we're at it, let's learn math as well.

Rev. Wright is 66.

This guy is a jerk. Even if the media’s motives were entrapment, I believe that rev. wright’s motivations were self-serving and opportunistic. We all know what he was saying is the truth (black and white), but let’s not help him to disguise what he was doing at the National Press Club. He wasn’t trying to spark dialogue; his presentation was flippant, aggressive and disrespectful. Who wants to dialogue with and respond to this condescending, theatrical, spectacle of a presentation?

He simply took an opportunity to “tell off” white America, and, during the process, intentionally tried to undercut Senator Obama’s opportunity (and ours) to create serious dialogue. He actually did a disservice to the facts that he conveyed – his theatrics made them sound like rhetoric. Congratulations rev. wright, you’ve just formally joined the ranks of al sharpton, jesse jackson and louis farrakhan – worthless opportunists!

Okay, the media worked him over with the sound bite from his sermon. This is no excuse! I liken his speech to a kid who got his butt whipped in a fight, ran in the house and got a gun like a little punk, and came back and sprayed the entire crowd with bullets.

What about the message that he’s sending to our kids,“you’ve got to respond to the dozens.” I had a nephew who was killed at 15 responding to the dozens. I thought for once, the black community would rise to the occasion and swap out the anger (which has gotten us nowhere) with saavy and begin to get the job done. If rev. wright is any indication of our communities’ local leadership, we need to seriously step our game up.

No reverend wright, the attack was not on the black church; it was on you. And no, reverend wright, you don’t represent the black church; you only represent you. You were so worried about your reputation being tarnished. Well, whether you go down with one of being a “stand up” kinda guy or an absolute jerk, I can assure you that, in this case, one of martyrdom would have been much more honorable and attractive.

And no, reverend wright, you don’t get to hide behind that 99th amendment that you religious leaders invented and lay claim to whenever you’re trying to cloak self-serving behavior –“I had to be answerable to God”. God said that in your capacity, you serve the people; and the people have long moved past that style of presentation. Your style is seriously old-school. You need to get with the program.

We’ve grown up and we’re ready to dialogue. You, on the other hand, want a one-way conversation where you just want to badger and rant; be heard. Feel better now? Do you think that you’ve beaten them down into submission – ready to beg for forgiveness and pass out reparations? In any case, you’ve had your 15 (30) minutes of fame and I hope it comes back and chokes you. A-hole!

Wright is a racist nutcase, and Obama has severe judgment issues for:

1) Having such a demented individual perform his marriage ceremony to Michelle, as well as baptize his two children.

2) Defending this Wright nutcase by falsely claiming he was "taken out of context." Here is the full transcript, where Wright reiterates the same lunacy for all to see.

3) Hanging out with such a racist lunatic for 20 years.

Isn't it amazing that people can be permitted to spew hate like Rev Wright? He claims to be a man of God but I believe he is more interested in promoting some political agenda. It's a sad day for Dems aligned with folks like Rev Wright.

I don't believe I owe an apology for the way the African slaves were treated, or they way the South treated the free black people. NOR, as a descendant of an American Indian, do I believe that I am due one.
The people that are alive today had nothing to do with how people were treated back then, yes it WAS wrong… We must live and act differently, but we have NOT done (the majority of us) anything in THIS area to repent of. IF we as a nation need to repent, then so do the black people… for taking advantage of the Welfare system…
Does that sound harsh? It is!! ; Because not ALL have, and not ALL have discriminated or misused the black community. We have ALL sinned and we need to only go to one another for forgiveness when we hurt directly that person we have offended. We do not need to go around apologizing to everyone who has been offended by someone.. THAT is crazy!
We must apologize and ask forgiveness only to the one that WE personally offended…
The Reverend Write is having a hard time forgiving the past he NEVER experience( as a slave) and some of the past he FELT, and some he has experienced….. BUT we have ALL felt and experienced (no matter WHAT color you are) those same things, EVERYONE of us…. And it is hurtful, no matter what the extent…. YOU must FORGIVE as it is only hurting YOU when you let it eat at you like it seems to have eaten at Reverend Write.

Dr. Barbara Reynolds who is determined to "pay back the Clintons" as she has stated by getting Hillary the nomination is the person responsible for setting this up.

She primed the high-strung Rev. Wright by saying that Obama was "dismissing him as an old uncle sent off to the basement" and other comments. She wound him up and watched the show unfold. He played right into their hands.

No one spoke badly of his mother. No one was attacking the black church. These are delusions he came up with to justify his anger getting out of control. He cannot see that his own comments are similar to those of a white racist.

Obama sought to get in touch with his black heritage and do volunteer work for the poor through the church. Very commendable. But he cannot be held accountable because the pastor of the church has spiraled into a Jim Jones style egocentric personality.

Obama wants to reconcile whites and blacks to overcome the kind of anger bubbling to the surface in Wright. It's the kind of anger can send a person deep into delusions of grandeur and paranoia and can create new generations of racists both white and black.
