"Gods" are the creation of early humans that couldn't explain "magical" or "spooky" things like celestial bodies, thunderstorms, droughts or disease. Christianity is a mere Johnny-Come-Lately in terms of the history human religion, only gaining & maintaining prominence due to the political & corporate factors that forced its spread to Europe & later, our continent. Texts more ancient than the Christian Bible have named numerous other deities & faiths throughout time - some of these texts easily pre-dating the time-frame some fundamentalists say the earth has even existed according to their Biblical "scholars." More superstitions have come since. Yet Christians have the audacity to claim theirs is the "one, true faith," discounting all others as ridiculous, regardless of the historical infancy or absence of evidence inherent in their own. This in and of itself makes their claims even more preposterous. But people will cling to the faiths into which they've been indoctrinated, especially those who fear death & want to believe in a spiritual escape hatch from guilt and death. And nothing will dissuade them from their silliness.

Same as everyone else's: To live. To provide for and ensure the greatest chance of success for my offspring. To one day die, allowing my base elements to return to earth as much as possible, to be used to nourish other life. Anything else is an optional, man-made, sugar-coated topping.

Why are you concerned for the success of your offspring?

Because it is a biological imperative. Because of the love, affection, and other feelings I have for them (that, incidentally, are a culturally encouraged part of that same biological imperative). Because those that carry our stories, our knowledge, and our genes into future generations are the only versions of life after death that any human being has ever or will ever be able to prove exists.

Deut. 4:2; “Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.”

Prov. 30:4,5; “Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.”

Rev. 22:18,19; “For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.”

Feelings, love, these are real to the Atheist? I thought Atheist required proof of existance from the 5 senses of touch, taste, hear, smell and sight. How can a Materialist believe that love exists without proof? If you believe that love exists without these requirements, then you have to admit that God can exist without them.

You thought Atheist required proof of existance from the 5 senses. Right there's where you went wrong - you tried to THINK!

Too many years of not thinking has fried your brain.

We serve nothing but the purpose of living and dying. God is not real and those who believe should be mentally evaluated for believing in ghost/mythical creatures.

Love is a collection of conditioned responses and biological processes that encourage community, pair bonding and child care, as a means to ensure the survival of the species. There are measurable changes in brain activity and body chemistry when experienced, as shown in numerous studies time and again.

It's a process evident in most higher mammals. They just don't have names for it, nor attribute it to magic or sky people.

Yes. Because wind is a quantifiable, measurable, explainable phenomenon.

Wind is unlike any of the gods man has ever created, which have only ever shown forth their supposed might through the actions of the people fool enough to believe in them. Whereas wind acts in and of itself in a measurable way that can be proven and demonstrated.

No believer of any mythical god, force or magic can produce or summon a single measurable supernatural presence, event or force to substantiate their claims. Not one. Oh there are many that claim otherwise, and myths a plenty in books of old. But ask for hard evidence, peer review, or reproducible results, and the believer falls flat. Always.
