Robert Blake Bankrupt

Robert Blake filed for bankruptcy Friday, just two and a half months after a civil jury ordered the actor to pay $30 million in damages for the wrongful death of his slain wife, Bonnie Lee Bakley.

I believe he has enough money to last him til death and still enough for his kids to live very well for the rest of their lives. However he does not intend to spend a dime on Bakleys kids other than Rosie. I think he should be made to compensate all the kids and i think he has hid his money some where.

I believe that if a person is found not guilty in the criminal courts then they should not be dragged into a civil case for the same thing. I know that Double dLaw puts a halt to someone being charged twice for the same crime. To Bad that Double Jeopardy Law doesn't cover civil too. I say leave the man alone. He has already paid in more ways than money can count. He has lost his wife, lost his baby girl, lost his money, lost his career, and For goodness sake He is in his seventies what else does society want from him for something that he was found not guilty of. Doesn't the babies half brothers and sisters want him to be able to leave her something. It isn't her fault that her mother was proven to be a con-artist. How do we know that her family didn't get her killed just so they could try to get the child from him and money because he is in his seventies. I am glad that his daughter and her husband adopted that beautiful little girl. I also hope that Blake is allowed to spend time with her. By the way, Why isn't the police trying to find who actually killed his wife instead of everyone dragging Blake through the mud.

I think it is sinfull how people want money because someone dies especially after you were found not guilty. By the way My Dad was a big fan of yours. He was really disappointed when they cancelled your TV series. Good Luck on the appeal.

The civil trial is just another form of double jeopardy which is supposed to be illegal in this country. If a person is found not guilty in a criminal trial then the investigation into the crime should be reopened by the authorities. If and when the real criminal is found or if new evidence comes to light that proves the original suspect did the crime, then a new criminal trial should be held. It is then and only then that the family of the victim should be given the right to sue in a civil trial.

By the way, I doubt very much that the person posting on this board using the name Robert Blake is the real Robert Blake.

Marge is a sweetheart! very awesome christain sweet lady, she loved her sis the same as anyone. An no Robert didn't lose his wife! You should hear the real story, the one ya didnt hear in court! Lots of people were paid off and involved. once key people die from old age, the truth will come out. Till then.. its a bitch and dangerous world an ya gotta hide n watch ya back!
As for the civil case, remember... the family didnt put an amount on it.. The jury did. And Blake still hasnt paid a penny. You didnt know this but a few months ago, the daughter was offered to settle with 100K, after lawyer fees, thats shit! Trust me, the family has regained a sort of sanity and common wealth after the whole mess. It's sad when you See Holly n her daughter n know that child wont ever get to meet her grandmother.. especially when she looks sooo much like her!

People who were trying to figure out what happened shouldn't have been. Until they have walked in your shoes they can't know how you felt, what you did or didn't do..etc.
