Kennedy's tumor a lesson for McCain

The sudden seizure of Sen. Ted Kennedy is tragic. But more important, its implications should make us think about a John McCain presidency.

This is one of the dumber letters in a while. There are approximately 9000 cases per year of these kinds of brain tumors. Out of a population of 300 million, that comes to about .003%. That is a very small risk. Stephen Jerome would have us believe that this should be a factor in choosing a president. He is wrong.

Rick,

Even stupider is the fact that the Sleaze-Sentinel picked the letter to publish. Drivel in a drivel paper. It is pathetic.

Brain tumors have nothing to do with age. Kennedy's health has nothing to do with McCain's health. If the writer is afraid of McCain's age, then vote for Osama Obama. Our choices are limited at this point. Which one is better at putting our country and its citizens first - that's where the decision lies. I am waiting to see who McCain ends up with as a VP. His choice for VP may be more important than Obama's choice.

one can have a brain tumor at any age just as one can be unbelievably stupid at any age...

age should not be a factor...

what should be a factor is that mccain is a very mean man and does not have the qualifications required to lead this country...he is a narrow minded fool...

electing a republican who might have an opportunity to appoint more conservatives to the supreme court should be one of the main concerns...

electing a republican who does not believe that ending our entanglement in the middle east would be a good thing is a very dangerous path to take

electing a republican who was the first in congress to stand up and say the elian gonzalez should be kidnapped to america is a very poor choice...where were his family values...a child belongs with his parents regardless of the parent's politics...

john mccain does not belong in the white house...unless you want 4 more years of a bushlike administration...

Me too. Because of McCain's age I'll admittedly look a little harder at who he chooses as his running-mate (so far I like Mitt Romney), but that, as far as I'm concerned, is the so-called "age-issue" in it's entirety (i.e., it's a non-issue).

McCain is a decrepit old geezer who looks like he's about pop a blood vessel in fury every time he's asked a question.

Look for a massive stroke, perhaps during a prime time debate against Obama.

What is your point? Kennedy's mother lived to be 104. Not gonna help him any.

Hey, Mr. Hypocrite...no problem with people saying Teddy Poo's tumor is pay back for Mary Jo, but heaven forbid someone mention the blameless Bush's. You guys can dish it out but you can't take it.

Your post would make sense if McCain had decided to abuse his body like Kennedy did. How about tossing in Reagan, Bush Senior and Carter who were productive at an advanced age.

Maybe I should quote the statistics how blacks have a greater tendency for certain anemias, or the greater chance women have for breast cancer.

This comes back to the heart of your problem. It is only people like you who wish for the death and tragedy of another person. Not surprisingly, since you feel that way, you project your feeling on others.

You probably could use some therapy. Your hate comes through in nearly every post. The hate seems to be eating you up. When Bush is gone and even if your favored candidate wins, the hate will not magically disappear. It will soldier on looking for a new target. That is not a prescription for a happy life.

Go back and read the posts by your typical "Compassionate Conservatives" reveling in Ted Kennedy's tumor. But that's okay to you and you go on the offensive offensive when pointing out your scumbag friends idiocy and hatred.

You fully suppport another radical right-winger who's tag always reads "Democrats are Dangerous" thinking that's clever. I just point out that you Republicans are Scum in the same way and it invariably gets your panties in a wad. It's so easy to jerk your chain because you guys are so predictable.

You make me laugh. Hey Middle America makes me throw up in my mouth a little bit and delight in the fact that I don't live in Lake Worthless.

You are, as usual, confused. You responded to me. It would be impossible for you to find some place where I "reveled" in Kennedy's tumor. If you are going to respond to me, please don't use somebody else's post as an example of what I said. That is know as a strawman. Since, this is the first thread that mentions Kennedy that I have been on, it is unclear why you want to hold me responsible for someone else's posts. What is up with that? Besides, in rereading the thread, I see no one reveling in Kennedy's tragedy.
