I used to watch Billy Joe Royal every time he came to my hometown in Gastonia, NC...or I'd go to Charlotte. We moved to Tunica about 5 years ago and we saw him several times there at Bally's. I haven't seen him in about 3 years or so. I always wondered why he never married. God knows in his younger days he could have had any woman he wanted. For his age, he's still gorgeous, at least I think so, but you never hear about a woman. I think he must keep her in hiding cause the media is so viscious. Sure wish he'd come to Biloxi, MS

Billy Joe Royal is a great performer. Still puts on a great show. I heard a new( I hadn't heard it before)song by him, I think it is called"If I Could". Any body know anything about this recording. I like it. BJR still plays the casinos a lot. If you get a chance to hear him I agree with the others, go see Billy Joe live while you still can.

I just saw Billy Joe for the first time last night. He put on a great show. I had heard his music for years when I was with my mother, who by the way LOVES him. I really didn't care to go, but I'm glad I did. I was quiet impressed. He has beautiful blue eyes which I got to see from the front row.

I remember back in the day when Billy Joe Royal was performing at the Bamboo Ranch located on the old Westside traffic circle just outside Savannah. That was when he was getting his start in music. Always had a full house and worked the crowd really well. My favorite songs was "I Knew You When" back in 1965 and "Ain't If Funny How Time Slips Away". Was then, have always been and will always be a Billy Joe Royal fan.

Saw BJR live at Hartford fairgrounds in Croton, Ohio several years ago. A dynamic performer and a class act. See him perform if ever you get the chance.

Well I've hunted and fished with his cousin, who is also a fine human being. Must run in the family.
