99% held their breath? LOL...,I don't think soooo! And this guy should have seeked help with such a grave problem. No one is going to tell me that he was in agony as his parents did nothing. I cannot, and will not buy it. 1975 was misunderstood by some, but that was on them. The should not have read into it. Like I mentioned before, I was around during that time, going to meetings, having studies, and everything carried on as usually during the entire year of 1975. Not all congregations had people who reacted to this year that marked the years since the creation of Adam. Besides, sights should be focused for the future, not dwelling in the past. The past is gone, done away with. Kapuuuuut

Also, during 1975 I knew elderly JW's who were seeking medical help for their problems. This is a crock, and I do not believe it. The lady I studied with was seen by doctors for her severe allergies even. However, I have a friend today who is totally into holistic medicine, but because she is a JW, does not mean that they endorse her choice. This was her choice, and she has that right.....Never have I heard of the organization telling it's members that were NOT to seek medical help......I don't believe a child would believe this nonsence.

Many people choose holistic medicine today, such as my girlfriend...,but this does not mean that the organization has anything to do with her decisions. This is a personal choice. In 1975, the people I studied with were seeing doctors. One lady was seeing a doctor for her severe allergies.....No one can tell me that JW's were told NOT to go to doctors. If individuals chose to do so, then that was their personal choice. If someones mom was having a heart attack for instance, would everyone just sit around and say, "Just hold on, God will take care of this?".......Come on now.

The reason I say this is because....Why would a person put off medical care because they believe the end will come and the problems will be cured. The problem I see with this is that, "No one knows the day or hour."

Read the article I have a question Danny - What about all the false predictions the churches have made in the past? I can well name over 20 of them. The reason why I'm pointing this out is because it proves that us are humans do these type of things, which are mistakes.

When I exited the Jehovah's Witnesses in 1992 EVERY Jehovah's Witness around me,was convinced in their heart of hearts that they would NOT see 2007 in "this old system" Many had NO retirement plans for old age. The Watchtower lies and people die!

1975 was EVERYTHING to EVERY JW http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/7/132672/1.as... NEW ARRANGEMENT circa 1970 on all bible studies now limited to maximum time of 6 months bee baptized in 6 months or bee gone study had to be dropped to move on for those who would need to be saved before 75 This was a blow to our many pioneers in the Bridgewater Massachusetts Kingdom Hall as many depended on their 'old faithful' longtime studies to get their hours in.Territory maps were had to come by as they were being rationed out on account of some being done every two weeks. The Vietnam war was raging many brothers were doing time in prison I would be 18 in 1975 and would not have to worry about the draft,wonder if I would finish out High school senior year.Parents expect me to drop out at legal age of 16 to go pioneering myself. Ahhhh it will all be over in 5 years!
