WOW! Finally the wealthy Watchtower corporation which has hogged up all that tax free Brooklyn property worth hundreds of millions is liquidating & 'cashing in on the kingdom'.

These cult leaders promised eternal life to a million followers in order to solicit their $$ donations.
(End of the world in 1975)
Now they're bugging out/cashing in and moving upstate to their new Watchtower "neverland ranch" complex.

Amazing how much these tax exempt religious rackets are alike, the Scientologist own Clearwater Florida like the Watchtower owned Brooklyn.

The Watchtower is a very, very rich organization.

It is a book binding wealthy corporation which never paid taxes, accepted and solicited free labour from their followers, and now reaps the cash rewards.

So much for "God's organization"

It's too bad that those who choose to post their derogatory rants about the JW's have not first checked the facts. But then again the facts would only get in the way of their vitriol. Though these same naysayers must be some of the happiest people around if indeed it is true that "ignorance is bliss."

One writer is mad that the Witnesses have had all that property in Brooklyn, then rails at them for leaving? I see a lot of improvement to the properties they now are selling and preservation of the architecture and beauty of Brooklyn Heights. Why is everyone so negative?

Apocalyptic Jehovah's Witnesses lose followers in all developed countries with Internet access.Japan alone has lost 650 congregations.
The Watchtower corporation (religion) is a black hole of plundering. They take...take member assets.

There are tens of thousands of elderly members with no retirement nest eggs because they put stock (faith) in the Watchtower's promise of Armageddon coming before they would ever grow old and need a retirement plan.

Many of these 'old timers' never really took proper care of their long term health care like dental, diabetes, high blood pressure for the same apocalyptic mindset and now are in deep woe and some will die premature deaths.

(The core dogma of the Watchtower organization is that Jesus had his second coming 'invisibly' in the year 1914.)

I used to work at Watchtower headquarters in Brooklyn from 1974 to 1980 for $14 per month for 6 years, as a FLOOR OVERSEER in the factory, printing their Bibles and books.
They make millions from free labor and then use that to impress outsiders. How is that godly?

That building was derelict when they bought it in 1988. The location would make a great condo/hotel facility.

They are selling properties to help pay for the huge settlements against them because they protect child molesters and rapists and shun the women and children who are abused. They are finally having to pay for their crimes. Look it up. It's true. Do an internet search and find out all the dirty secrets that are finally becoming known.

Celebrated Brooklyn Heights Hotel Up For Sale
NY1, NY -
The building, known as The Waldorf-Astoria of Brooklyn, is currently owned by The Watchtower Bible and Tract Society, which is affiliated with The Jehovah's ...

The fat cat Watchtower is a high control religion no member is allowed any kind of dissident viewpoint.
When George Orwell wrote 1984 he must of had the JW's in mind.

It is my observation that, the famous Brooklyn Heights area would not be so famous and preserved if not for the Watchtower Society. The property owned on the waterfront was alway well maintained and kept secure. The people there respect their neighbors and businesses. The level of bitterness and misinformation never ceases to amaze me.

Who SAYS we have not "checked the facts"? I have not seen one comment other than YOURS that was untrue.

The WTS actively breaks up families, protects child molesters and teaches that coming into THEIR organization is the only way to salvation.

You NEVER hear any JW say that they praise Jesus, MEET in Jesus' name or come to HIM ALONE as Savior, do you?

What a bunch of losers this site attracts. If you're angry or upset with what this group did to you then get a life and stop tearing down others.

Dodger Fan, I've studied quite a few different religions and I don't see anything about "1975" anywhere except thru all these wierd websites full of angry people. In fact, the WT organization printed something in 1968 with an article entitles "Why are you looking forward to 1975"? So all this nonsense you speak is a lie and I have friends in there that can prove it. If individual members made that assumption then that's on them.

One thing I also know for certain, is that if anybody here really had their head together, you wouldn't be on this site bashing other groups or organizations crying and wining about how they "ruined my life." What a bunch of deadbeats...hahahahahaha.

Jehovah's Witnesses beliefs:
A) They are at your door to recruit you for enslavement to their watchtower corporation, they will say that "we are just here to share a message from the Bible" this is deception right off.

B) The 'message' is their false Gospel that Jesus is ruling in heaven already since 1914.The problem with this is it's not just a cute fairy tale,Jesus warned of the false prophets who would claim "..look he is here in the wilderness,or see here he is at the temple"

C) Their anti-blood transfusion ban has killed hundreds if not thousands

D) once they recruit you they will "love bomb" you in cult fashion to also recruit your family & friends or cut them off. There are many more dangers,Jehovah's Witnesses got a bad rap for good and valid reasons.

99% of the world has rejected the teachings of the Watchtower Jehovah’s Witnesses, the darker truth is they are a destructive and oppressive organization.

Who are the losers...those that have escaped the cult and found Christ---or the ones that still defend whatever the WTS prints and no matter how many dismal FAILURES they have taught as "the truth"?

AND BELOW IS WHERE THE WT OFFERS TWO SORRY APOLOGIES FOR 1975 FALSE PREDICTIONS:

Watchtower 3/15/80 Choosing the Best Way of Life

"In modern times such eagerness, commendable in itself, has led to attempts at setting dates for the desired liberation from the suffering and troubles that are the lot of persons throughout the earth. With the appearance of the book LifeEverlasting—inFreedomofthe SonsofGod, and its comments as to how appropriate it would be for the millennial reign of Christ to parallel the seventh millennium of man’s existence, considerable expectation was aroused regarding the year 1975. There were statements made then, and thereafter, stressing that this was only a possibility.((((Unfortunately, however, along with such cautionary information, there were other statements published that implied that such realization of hopes by that year was more of a probability than a mere possibility)))). It is to be regretted that these latter statements apparently overshadowed the cautionary ones and ((((contributed to a buildup of the expectation already initiated")))).

and then...

1980 Yearbook of Jehovah's Witneses- Pages 30-31

"The brothers also appreciated the candor of this same talk,[Choosing the Best Way of Life] which acknowledged the Society’s responsibility for some of the disappointment a number felt regarding 1975"

The WT apologized because they led the poor JW's to believe the end would come at that time.

It never did.

WT Society is a false prophet for 1975, 1914, 1925, Beth Sarim, the generation of 1914, 2000 etc...

Them's just the FACTS!

Jehovah's Witnesses fanatics are JUST LIKE Scientologist fanatics they rant on about how they are being 'persecuted' for the outrage over their own religious rackets that rip off the innocents.
Example:Scientologist are most litigious and went ape s**t over their parody south park episode although south park slams everybody equally.

I think this shows that these groups are high control and VERY insecure.Just like with David Koresh and Jim Jones.

Mr Randall was a younger man back in the 70's when he worked for $14 a month at the Watchtower factories in Brooklyn. Their labor was all profit to the WT Corp. Now these 1000's of workers are getting into late middle- age closer to retirement. The WT Society has furloughed over a thousand of worker in the past couple years- sent them all packing with minimal help and in that way they have avoided having to support them and pay their medical costs in their old age after they gave their leaders 30-40 or more years of basically "free" labor. Labor that made a big tax free profit for the Corp. Ceasar will end up paying their old-age costs not the WT Corp. Charity seems to be missing from their Corp charter. JW's need to wake up, but they won't.
