Jehovah's Witnesses build Kingdom Hall

Many of theses Kingdom Hall 'quick builds' are Watchtower corporation "make work" projects that give the appearance of growth to a religion in decline.
The wealthy Watchtower real estate holding company gets free labor provided by Jehovah's Witnesses followers to donate more tax free property.

Will they have a food pantry, soup kitchen,or let AA use their building to hold AA meetings like the other charitable Churches do? Does the Watchtower contribute anything back to the community, for their tax free status?
Religious freedom yes,accountability also!

The Watchtower Jehovah's Witnesses pay no real estate taxes, the same as any other church building, but show me ANY JW charities.

James 1:27 states,"the form of worship that God wants is to look after widows and orphans in their distress".
Saint James doesn't say anything about going door to door with Watchtower literature.

All you need to know about the Jehovah's Witnesses is that they say "Jesus had his return to power" aka his second coming in the year 1914.

To even vocally question the teachings of the Watchtower will result in complete cutting off, with family and friends usually being forbidden to talk to them. The Watchtower is a truly Orwellian world.

Sincerely,
Danny Haszard

Follow the money trail, billions in tax free real estate NO public church charities of any kind from this sect.

Half of all the Watchtower related news now on Jehovahs Witnesses is either obituaries or Kingdom Hall construction.

The old folks who gave everything to the WBTS are dying off left and right cause no new system ever came (1975)
The Watchtower keeps on wheeling & dealing big money real estate
70-80 percent of all the young people are leaving the JW

ual, I m surprised! You seem o understand so much about Watchtower! Just tell me: How is YOUR church supported?? Do you really have anything to tell about JW? Well I spent part of my life after this "one way" Jesus told. Can you tell me where is it? is it in your fan club? For your information, JW does give money, however, can you mention one single JW who became rich because of my donations?...I think not.

I'm not a wit. but I know a good bit about em and their beliefs. I can tell you don't. Most churches that hold AA meetings try to convert people at the same time. That can viewed as taking advantage of someone in need. A person can find fault w/ any church or belief. Just so u know, JW's do pay taxes that pretty much all other churches don't because of teaching by christ.

Actually, several have been paid hefty sums in exchange for dropping lawsuits regarding sexual abuse.

Also, there is the father-in-law of Judah Ben Schroeder (son of Albert Schroeder) who owns the car dealership contracted with the Society to lease and then resell cars through the Circuit Leasing Program. He has made LOT of money off your donations.

Then there are the MANY, MANY privately held, for-profit construction contractors who make out like bandits for the construction "work" they do for the Society. These contractors often simply direct hordes of volunteer laborers while they are making a hefty PROFIT off your donations.

Then there is the multi-billion dollar corporation, which is a legally recognized entity, that owns every Kingdom Hall and Assembly Hall your donations ever built, in addition to LOTS of prime real estate in New York City, NY, Walkill, NY, and Patterson, NY.

That corporate entity got rich off your donations.

Did you really believe the money is all used for furthering KINGDOM interests? How sweetly naive.

The Watchtower has no charities for anybody. They dont follow Jesus teachings when it comes to doing anything besides doing their own stupid preaching work. They love calling up the news people to come there when these WT buildings are going up so they can brag.

ephesians 4:29

29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

James 3:10-12

10 Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be. 11 Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter? 12 Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh.

We dont Profit! All the money that we recieve through the volintary donations goes towards supporting those on the missionary work in foreign countries where there is a need to progress in the ministry(knocking on doors). And also towards our printing of all the litrature that hand out with no charge to the public for them to read , asking there opinion of the topics highlighted in our monthly Watchtower and Awake magazines. Oh and dont worry we dont force people to give money like in some churches who say that you will go to hell if you dont donate.

We pay rent , we pay tax. " pay ceasers things to caesar and gods things to god ".

Phil,

All the donations YOU receive go into the contribution boxes. That is admirable, if misguided, of you. I was the same way.

The money is used to "further Kingdom interests worldwide". Your explanation of what that means is identical to the one I would have given just a few short years ago, but I was CLUELESS about the things the organization believes will "further Kingdom interests."

As it turns out, "Kingdom interests" quite often coincide PERFECTLY with nepotistic interests and with Corporate interests.

But you are correct when you say "We don't Profit!" Well, you are correct as long as you are NOT including the Corporation behind the religious front. It profits HUGELY, to the tune of many, many millions each year. It was listed within the top 50 of the top 100 wealthiest New York Corporations by Fortune magazine in 2006.

We, the lowly contributor in the local congregation, don't profit AT ALL. We get a loan from them (at interest) to build a Kingdom Hall, and before we even repay the loan the Title is in their name. We don't even own the building we bought with OUR contributions, the Corporation owns it.

Unfortunately, a company is a company, whether is sells products, services or ideas (for profit or disguised non-profit). All companies are liable to natural laws, and no money means bankruptcy. The Watchtower is a typical company and, like any others, liable to those natural laws. We must be naive to think that the wicked spirit will protect this false religious entity from these laws! And this is the consequence from letting our beliefs in the hands in a full flavored corporate entity!

Phil, I take it you are one of Jehovah's Witnesses. Me too. And you are right. "Pay ceasers things to ceaser, and gods things to god." It means that you pay the government what they want, but gods rule always comes first. Everybody should try and at least ask us their questions as to what we do with the donations instead of just forming their own opinions and theories. That is what leads to misinformation. Also, we do pay our own individual taxes, plus, the donations we give pay for the taxes of the kingdom halls built AND the main branch office at Wallkill, NY.

It is the churches and their ministers that are exempt from paying any taxes. Next time, try asking YOUR minister, priest, deacon, etc. what the donations you give go toward/pay for.

Normally, that could be a nice thing to ask you Jws about these questions. However, you CAN'T answer WTBT financials because it is PRIVATE.

Normal rank-and-file Jws knows about:

- Their KH financials
- Their convention hall financials

And whether they have questions on these they can ask the responsible overseer for a report. However, these same Jws will never be answered about the WTBT office financials except the ridiculous statement on the service year report on money spent for missionaries and circuit/district overseers.

So, that's why we do question authorities for these questions, because you DON'T know, and will NEVER know.
