These are just outstanding motorcycles. Mine is at home loping around town at 30 mph and on the Interstate cruising briskley at 85 mph. At one point, I put 800 miles on it in two days with no ill effects to my 50 year old body.
I'll put it this way. I've owned many motorcycles over the past 25 years. Most have been traded in after no more than 3 years. I've had the Bonneville for almost 5 now and I have no plan to look for another bike.

Amen. Mike, I am a young man with a passion for the bonneville. My first bike was a '68 trumpet that I still have sitting in my garage. When I first bought my Hinkley bonnie a bunch of the so called "veteran" bikers told me how it isn't the same etc etc... They don't know what the hell they are talking about.
i love the Hinkleys they certainly don't dance like the old ones but they are in my opinion the best buy available in a motorcycle. I "unleased" my motor and Can walk a sportster like it's standing still. The bonnie is back and anyone that says anything different is simply ignorant. And what people complain about is my favorite part. Simply put after a 3 hour ride this bike doesn't make me piss blood (exaggeration for those that don't know the old bonnies), and it makes me never want to get off of it

Look i Have them all. I ride a cafe style new hink bonnie. My first bike was a '68 trumpet, i loved that bike, and everything about it except lucas, the prince of darkness. I hear people say that the new boneville is just not the same, blah blah blah. LEt me tell you as soon as you get rid of the bullshit EPA add ons the new bonnie screams. She will dog a 1200 sportster and looks a whole lot cooler doing it. Its basically cm=omfortable for a taller rider. Stock I'll admit it looks lke something my grandpa would ride now, not in the 60s. But a little fender removal air injection and main jets, and don't let me forget loud ass pipes that scream parallel twin. And you have yourself not only a classy way to let out your inner redneck but a great riding and handling machine. But since it is a triumph if you plan on doing this work learn how to use a wrench and a shop manual. It is still a simple machine to work on which honestly nails the last nail in the coffin for the sportster. The bonnie is less common, less expensive, faster, easier to work on, and isn't some import assembled in wisconsin and stamped "American" that every wealthy wanna be thinks makes them tough. Long live the bonneville!!!!

I'm new to Triumphs and am seriously thinking about getting a new T100. I've read almost all the posts here and have gotten some great information from you guys, thanks for posting so much useful info.

I am wondering if anyone knows what the color schemes for the 2011 T100's will be. My local dealer has the 2010 green and the black, which look great, but since it's close to the 2010 model year i wanted to see what the new bikes will look like before jumping in.

Also, has anyone had any experience buying a Triumph at the end of a model year and at the end of the riding season? Do the Triumph dealers discount prices at all to try and move bikes?

Thanks for the help and any other information you can provide would be appreciated. I'm thinking about buying in the NY state area or northern NJ.

I bought my 2008 T100 in the spring of 2009. I got close to $1K off the price. I suspect it had been used as a demo because it had about ten miles on the odometer and the pipes were already blueing.

I bought the 2008 because I preferred carbs to EFI, which was introduced in 2009.

It has almost 10K miles on it now and I love it more every ride. It's the best bike I ever had and my three previous bikes were Hondas.

Yes, I got a great deal at the end of the year on a 2008 T100,$8600 out-the-door, got it at the end of November, 2008, at least $1400 of the suggested retail price.

the pipes are stainless remove and then polish mirror finish,the heat from riding will send them from the head dark blue,light blue,then a lovley gold to the silencer. removing the air injection system helps lower gas temprature and stop discoluration.

I have a 2007 Bonneville Black, decked out with all the sixty8 accessories. I love it. If you go to the website below you can see some of the possibilities. I didn't even want to take possession of the bike until all the accessories came in and were installed. They give it more of a authentic retro/old school look. My bike looks like the "Revolver City".

iv done 67 thou kys on my 02 bonni and 90% of them were hard -the bonni didnt start to let loose until after 25 thou kys then it just got better and better-i dropped the rear sprocket 2 teeth and went one tyre sise up on the rear so as to get some ground clearance it will redline at 198kmh im happy with that-i found that you must run the original brand tyres on them otherwise they seem to wander a little-i have got 300km per tank thats reserve included i wasnt game to go any further.they are a bloody good bike -iv been riding for 45 yrs now and the t100 is the best ive had.

I live in Thailand, and just bought a black bonnie last year. And Thailand..rumors to be one of the worst countries with bad traffic, and yet bonnie still performs very well, just enjoy cruising slow to medium pace (30-80 km/hr). It's really classy, no stress, relax, and enjoy : )

I had the same problem with my 2010 Bonnie SE, starting problems with a hot motor, but then I received a letter from TRIUMPH Germany and they wrote that my local dealer would fix that problem with a new mapping at NO COST.
It was done last week and now everything is OK. So what can I say, not only the bike is great but also the support of the company...

hi david,i am also having the same thing with my 2010 t100.After a short journey parking up doing an errand and returning then attempting to restart it seems to be firing on one cylinder,then if i pull the choke slightly it improves and off we go.is this same problem as yours

thanks everyone for help am gonna check it out on my next blast my bonnie is a2008 t100 in claret \silver its agreat bike she s still under warranty so the dealer says if its really bothering you bring it in by the way i would reccomend bill smiths of chester really helpful and great service colin mac

Just returned to bike riding after a number of years looking after the tin lids reqirements. Bought a 2007 Forrest green & cream T100 6 weeks ago and i love it awesome bike can't stop riding it and am looking forward to doing a few mods to her similiar to what Bike-N-Mike has done.I am 52 and will never sell her cause if i cant ride her i can sit and stare & polish her all day.The war office has drawn the line on me keeping it in the bedroom i guess the garage will have to do.Well its a beautiful day here in West Aussie so i am off for a ride happiness.
