Many of theses Kingdom Hall 'quick builds' are Watchtower corporation "make work" projects that give the appearance of growth to a religion in decline. The wealthy Watchtower real estate holding company gets free labor provided by Jehovah's Witnesses followers to donate more tax free property. Will they have a food pantry, soup kitchen,or let AA use their building to hold AA meetings like the other charitable Churches do? Does the Watchtower contribute anything back to the community, for their tax free status? Religious freedom yes, accountability also! The Watchtower Jehovah's Witnesses pay no real estate taxes, the same as any other church building, but show me ANY JW charities. James 1:27 states,"the form of worship that God wants is to look after widows and orphans in their distress". Saint James doesn't say anything about going door to door with Watchtower literature. All you need to know about the Jehovah's Witnesses is that they say "Jesus had his return to power" aka his second coming in the year 1914. One thing about Jehovah, "If he wants it built there, it will be built there" regardless of their objections. I myself have seen 2 KH's built and all obstacles just melted away.

So, if the WTS wants to build something somewhere and it doesn't work out, it's because "Jehovah" didn't want it there? Oh, please....here we go again with the one size fits all, whatever we do it is Jehovah's will mantra.

The one in Milford looks like crap now. It really melts right in with the suburban neighborhood with that huge flourescent sign.... Don't they own Milford? I guess its not enough they want a little Bpt too. JWForever wrote: One thing about Jehovah, "If he wants it built there, it will be built there" regardless of their objections. Some how they got by "wetland preservation". However if its any concsolation they will be across the street from the sewage plant. Maybe prayer will "melt away" that smell.

The Jehovah's Witnesses are their own worst enemy such arrogance for them to think that when they are wrong it somehow is righteous persecution for God

If Jehovah is so all powerful when it comes to getting His KH's built, then why didn't he protect those 5 elders on the regional building committee last summer in Tennessee? You know the ones who died in a fiery plane crash on their way to organize a new KH project. Maybe the KH's get built because Brooklyn WTS hires the best legal firms to beat down the small town planning boards. God has nothing to do with it, period. Rising property taxes are starting to hurt the taxpayer and governments might soon decide to pull tax exempt status from religious organizations that don't have a charitible umbrella for the community- especially one whose members do not vote or do any civic duties in the town. JW's are social parasites who suck out all the free services they can and provide nothing back, like a soup kitchen , homeless shelter, thrift shop, etc., to the poor and needy in their towns. Just say no to JW's.

Why do they need to build a Kingdom Hall? If the end of this 'system of things' is so close at hand (like they have been saying for over 120 years) then certainly it would make sense to rent.

well Jehovah blesses the preaching work and more come in, so obviously our donations are being used to build these halls, and the administration is helping to organize all this so does that mean the GB or FDS is involved, I guess so.

If only I can convince the JWs to register and vote, then I can have them volunteer and have them knock on your doors.

Probably 10 large churches have been built nearby since that KH was built 30 years ago- over 200,000 people have built homes north of that KH in 30 years and not one new KH has been built to service the mainly professional college educated people living there! It is only in the dreams of JW's that Jehovah is blessing their preaching work-they say, "hey everyone, you are all going to die at Armageddon because Jesus picked us as the one true religion in 1919- everyone else was not doing His work" (forget Judge Rutherford's,"millions now living will never die"1920-26 and his Beth Sarim Mansion deeded to the King David) The plane crash of those 5 elders could be a message from Jehovah- "stop building any new KH's!- I want you to build a homeless shelter, soup kitchen, orphanage, children's hospital, free medical clinic, etc.- get busy helping the poor, orphans and widows- Just like I commanded you to do!!" JW's used to meet in rented halls and felt that due to the nearness of the end it would be better to forego expensive buildings like the churches of Christendom.

so are you ready to tell us again the Jehovah Witnesses have another date when the world will end? were they not embarrassed the first time the said the actual date and it came and went? if my religion went public and said on such and such a date in such and such a year the world will end--- I would leave it fast without looking back

I'm afraid you are confusing the Jehovah's Witnesses Kingdom Hall with the Kingdom Life Church....... They are 2 completely different places. The Jehovah's Witnesses definitely don't own most of Milford!!!
