This is why America is not by far the best country in the world, why it is a fake democracy and why no civilized country is taking it serious. What a joke, one, (for maybe a few more years) of the most influential countries in the world is still taken hostage by a medieval way of thinking. America, a painfull joke.

America needs to criminalize evangelical fundamentalist terrorism before our reputation is ruined

Way to go Southwestern Christian University!
Why do scared people like Dave think their 'truth' allows them to judge on everybody who doesn't fit in his narrowminded, medieval, little world. Christian fundamentalists, the plague of the world.

Sooo, it was okay for them to cohabitate or "fornicate" without marriage, but they toss out a student for valuing MARRIAGE?

Lovely message, that.

She violated her contractual promise. Goodbye. See you later.

So she chose a private, Christian (Pentecostal Holiness no less) university and agreed to the student code of conduct (which specifically prohibits lesbian behavior) and then broke that agreement, right? And she didn't bother to keep it secert, and she did all this just one semester shy of graduation? She couldn't wait another 4 months, graduate, and THEN get married?

That's just profoundly stupid on her part. Did she expect a bunch of Pentecostals to stop being Pentecostal because she changed her mind and flaunted her violation of their standards - that she agreed to abide by?

I am an unapologetically homosexual boy, and I understand the whole civil rights thing, but there's no such thing as the "right" to make idiotic choices and then whine about the consequences. Especially in this case, where those consequences were so clearly laid out in advance.

If you cannot agree to a school's religious standard of conduct, then choose another school instead of trying to make them change their religion to accommodate you.

The question is whether or not a school can demand something like thisl, such as denying a basic civil and human right like marriage to certain students, but not others, and under what circumstances they can do it.

Pay attention. It's not just a school, it's a Christian school and yes they can.
The school has a "Lifestyle Covenant" that all students must agree to and sign.
It is clear that she didn't choose her school wisely. She should have married AFTER graduation.
