I would like to comment on the bahavior of some of the singers that are presented for this event. I have a lot of respect for Michael W Smith. I have listened to him for over 18 years and I would like to think that he would not let this kind of behavior continue. Listening to his testimony, his songs, even the kind of movies that he is involved in would not seem like the kind of "christian leader" that he presents to be.
If this is the kind of atmosphere that these teens are exposed to, something needs to change.
A blogger on WBIR website states that he had backstage passes to one of these events and happen to meet Mr Smith. He stated something that disturbed me a great deal. This blogger stated Mr Smith was drinking and groping underage girls. Please tell me this is not true!! This person could be a disgruntled christian or maybe he isn't a christian at all, but if his words are true. Mr Michael W. Smith is not the person I thought he was.
