I just read the Tribune article.

Pat Quinn quoting the Bible; what a bloody hypocrite!

And then "Mayor" Kellogg blaming the filming of the movie for leaving an eysore in Harvey! Uh, Mayor, the mall was already closed and Harvey was already an eysore when they filmed the movie back in 1979 - 1980.

What a laugh is this so called "Leadership" !

Mano, you are right on! Who will come to gangstah nation? I sure won't, not unarmed anyway!

That's funny!

The last time I saw what was left of that mall was back in 1998. I tried to make my own detour around some bad traffic on the expressway (I'll never do that again) and endangered my wife and myself by driving through there. What a total hell-hole around there!

That was 14 years ago and the Mall looked like a ruin from the Roman Empire even then! It could only have gotten worse!

Don't pity me truth, I'm good. Who do you want to come fix that joke of a city? The citizens keep voting in criminals. There's a start. Nobody really gives a crap about it but it is a joke.

WOW I remember when Dixie Square was THE mall in the early 70's. During holidays the parking lot was full up to Dixie Hyway! We lived on Western Ave, near the mall. When Blues Bros was being filmed @ night I could hear tires squealing and sirens. Thought it was legitiment police activity.

I'm not old enough to remember Harvy Il. not being some run down shirt hole , the best thing that ever happened to Harvey in recent decades is when the Blues Bros. came to Dixie Square and tore it up .
