I Love BLUEGRASS Music, but have never been to the RUDYFEST! Is it something like Poppy Mountain? Ive heard its a little WILDER & of course alot more FUN!!! I heard you can PARTY with alot of the BANDS that are there, meaning they must stay over & have jam sessions or something!?! Sounds EXCITING...Id LOVE to meet some of the guys in the BANDS'...to name a few: Dave Evans, Larry Cordle, 3rd Time Out, Ralph Stanley II....anyways any info plz get back, I may plan a trip!

1 No way, not Rudy going drugs! He's clean and sober! When he was born! Ha ha ha. That festival is nothing but a huge sex, drugs, alcohol and nasty ass place to be. Rudy is the biggest dope head in Carter. |

Rudy Fest should be a family event. I do have a question though.
If this town isn't wet, how do they consume so much alcohol that no one reports them? |

There's always alcohol at our "community events". It's been that way for as long as I can remember. As far as being "reported", that just doesn't happen. Why should it? Summer Bash was a "family event", too, and there was way more alcohol there than at any of the bluegrass festivals. RudyFest is great, and it just continues to get better every year. |

3 The grand parents of my step son go here but it's our weekend with him and after reading this he has NO business there what so ever. This isn't the first bad things I have read about that place. |

I've taken my grandchildren for years, sorry yours are gonna miss a wondefull event. It is what it is a Bluegrass Festival, you have all kinds there, but at the same time, your children would be lucky to meet an admire the wonderfull musicians and people who attend. This site has people posting horrible things most that are not true, so if you wanna put stock in a site dedicated to whose doin who and whose on drugs...you beleive what you want. |

I really can't say anything about drugs, but drinking does get somewhat out of hand. I'm one who can stand moderate drinking, but you have some that just overdue it. Mostly the ones who like to overdue it, is our youth/teens, which I think the teens should be monitored from now on, since they are not at the legal age to drink.
In all honesty though, there is great music and band setups. It's a great place to take anyone, just you have to overlook some peoples ignorance. |

Both!!!! |

Did everyone have fun?
