Like what someone named Larry from Durham, North Carolina says is worth anything.
Name some other rocker who has been out making records for 35 years and who is still making good, new music and has not turned into a nostalgia act.

Springsteen is more than washed up. He's a grade A @55hole. When he played down here in S. Florida - he made the venue shut down all concession stands 25 minutes before the show started because he didn't want people getting up during his performance. When the crowd cheered for him and called out his name, he told everyone to "SHUT THE F UP - I KNOW WHO I AM AND WHAT I SING". As far as I know - he only goes on tour because he needs more drug money. Now every time I hear his songs on the radio - I change the channel. I refuse to give him any more of my time and money. Burn in Hell BOSS.

Actually - he has turned to the biggest wimp I've ever seen. They had to do 2 explosive sweeps of his concert down here because he thinks he's going to get shot like John Lennon (and this is coming from his tour manager). He'll never be as big as John Lennon.

Bruce Rocks !!! I don't agree with his political views and some of his rants, but he is a great singer, songwriter, and musician. His music will live forever....Go to the concert, have a good time, and lighten up!!!
He won't be around forever, and if today's music scene is any indication of what's to come....God help us all!!!

Agree. I too do not agree with his political views, but that does not deter me from continuing to be a fan.

The new album I think is both retro and modern. Very layered sound, but some of the songs remind me of the anthems he wrote in the 70's and early 80's. I know Springsteen purists will find fault with it - and let them, not every album is going to hold a candle to Born to Run, but these new songs definately hold their own in his song catalog.

And to Iggey - I was at the concert in Hollywood FL, where he told the crowd to shut the *&%& up. I also sat next to a guy that insisted on yapping the whole time, and due to the nature of the concert, he disturbed everyone around him. Why would you pay $75 for a concert, and then not pay attention? But with you deciding not to go to anymore concerts, I say GREAT! Makes it just a little easier for me to get tickets to future show. And do not worry, you definately will not be missed!

I never said anything about not going to any more concerts. I won't listen to him, won't buy his CD's or anything. And if you only spent $75.00 for tickets - you never went to the show - considering the lowest price ticket was over $100.00. I should know - I worked the show.

Sounds like you're either a frustrated concert promoter, a $3 an hour concession seller, or a $2 an hour toilet cleaner at the venue. Maybe you were the guy who wouldn't shut up at the show. Just cause you may have paid for a ticket it doesn't mean you get to ruin the show for everyone sitting near you. Security probably kicked you out and you haven't gotten over it.

Try speaking like an intelligent person instead of a Redneck White piece of hillybilly trash. You obviously must be one of those workers - because you would never be able to afford the tickets for Bruce at HRL. Top price was over $500. For your information - the people who work at that place make a hell of a lot more money than you'd ever make with an attitude like that. Start thinking before you start typing. Or better yet - take your left hand off of your d!ck and quit [email protected]@ting before you type.

He wasn't a "slave." Bruce closed his early live shows stating, "I'm just a PRISONER of rock-n-roll."
Otherwise, good review for a great production.

I just looked at my ticket, just to make sure that "you should know". My 300 level seat was $55.00 +$8.75 Ticketmaster fee +$3.11 tax. It was cheaper than I prevously thought. I wasn't lucky enough that time to get a good seat for that show.

You lost one of the 3 brain cells I previously gave you credit for. And I think I am being generous by only taking one! Time to go back to youf janitor job that allowed you to "Work the show."

You see Bruce is the Boss, except he is a bad boss. And like a bad Boss he uses his bully pulpit to spew his "God's gift to man artist liberal anti-American views". And like I would tell a bad boss, "take your new album and shove it!!!" The only magic that you have left is to make your old fans disappear.

I have seen Springsteen five times and have most of his albums and CDs. However, after his comments on the Today show he sounds like Rosie O. And in some ways is beginning to look like her, he needs a hair cut. I think I will sit this one out!

Your comments show why no one would tolerate you at a live show. Sounds like I hit a nerve. You probably enjoy going to Mizner Park with all the other plastic Boca residents who can't control themselves at a concert. Constantly talking, spilling drinks on everyone, standing when the people behind you sit and "woo wooing" all the time just to hear your own voice. You learned this from watching MTVs Music Awards or their afternoon teenybopper shows. Now just be done with it and Good Charlotte yourself to sleep.
