Ono sues over 'Imagine' in Ben Stein film

Yoko Ono is suing the producers of a movie that challenges the concept of Darwinian evolution, saying they used the song "Imagine" without her permission and led the blogosphere to accuse her of "selling out." ... via CNN

If Jesus were a documentary filmmaker, I guarantee you he would have asked Yoko Ono's permission to use the song. If she said no for whatever reason, he would have respected her decision and made his film without it.

That's what the filmmaker's in this case should have done. Their "Freedom of Spoeech" is not being denied them. They could have made their film perfectly well without using the song "Imagine".

I am grateful Yoko Ono is defending the rights of all songwriters and composers. The song they used without permission could just as easily have been mine, or yous.
