Who are we to judge Mel for saying what he said or didn’t say, regardless what the man has given so much to society. He is a brilliant actor, producer and man. Every “being” has said something that they have regretted it, that is what makes us “humans”.

You couldn't have possibly called him "brilliant." Oh my God. His anti-Semitism alone -- did you SEE The Passion of the Christ?-- marks him as one of the most ill-informed, pedestrian, reprehensible men among us. South Park is more perceptive about him than you are. Mel Gibson might have given a lot to your society, but he has done nothing for mine, and frankly, I find his chroncially smug, megalomaniacal behaviour in absolute defiance of his so-called apology. He got caught. Period. There is nothing more authentic about him than that.
