Mel Gibson is Back on the Big Screen

Mel Gibson has committed to star in "Edge of Darkness," marking his first starring role in a feature film since he headlined "Signs" and "We Were Soldiers" in 2002, according to Variety. via Entertainment Insiders

I wonder if Hollywood is surprised at the mostly positive reaction from the general public about Mel's comeback. Mel is a sure bankable commodity at any age. In fact, I bet Mel will give the performance of a lifetime in this movie bringing Hollywood to its knees to sign him up for other projects. The dry Mel seasons are over girls - I'm hopeful that with an August producting start, it'll get to theatres by early Spring 09. GO MEL!!
