The movie was good. I'd say A- or a B+ easy.
The beginnig made me laugh out loud several times.
Before seeing it, I thought that it was going to be
like a Ginger Rogers and Fred Astair movie, but
without the dancing. You know, really corney-funny,
but it was pretty realistic, because you can
imagine that Gary is pretty bootie-whipped by this
classy, shapely, well brought up young lady. She
is probably a step or two above what he is use to
coming home with.
You almost realize that Gary does not really want to
end the relationship, because he may be too lazy
or too stuborn to try to start over with someone
new. He sure puts up with a lot from this girl. IN
reality, I know very few men who would stand for the
things that Gary allowed to happen.
I wonder what would have happened if the verbal
abuse had turned into smacking and punching, hair
pulling and things thrown at each other. It would
have been more heart wrenching than this film was.
I was exhausted by the time the movie was over. It
was a peek at the dark side of what can happen to
a love gone wrong. Like the song by k.d.lang:
"Our Love Ran Away, With A Will Of Its Own."
This affair was like a New York Subway car, that
was a runaway car, that no one could put the brakes
on, for their own saftey and survival of their love.
I hope that the teens that think that love is so
sweet and easy, can get a glimpse at how things
can go so terribly wrong. Love is not always peaches

Susan, what made you say that? I do not think that you really
meant to say that, love, did you?
Have a nap, and then come back when you feel better.

The Break Up
(All in my own opinion)
I tell you mom, I am going nut with this guy.
I love art, and he won't bother to learn one thing about it.
He love sports, and it bores me to death. He plays on
the video games non-stop, and I could just die watching
him shake that fat body of his on the couch, and making
those sickening sounds as he plays that stuff.
Ma, all we do is ignore each other. He drags into bed,
and tosses and turns all night long. He kicks in the
bed like a horse trying to break out of a barn. And the
snoring. I can not describe it. I sleep with cotton in
my ears. When I complain. He pretends to listen, but he
is really tunning me out.
Ma. I am afraid that I may hurt him, someday, bacause of
the anger that I feel towards him. I feel as though he
has ruined my life. There, I said it. I can not take him
anywhere because I am embarassed by the way he looks, the
way he sounds when he opens his stupid mouth, and even
when he chews his food, I want to die.
Ma. What should I do. Just ell me and I will do it. I swear.
OOOOOOOH, Brook, darling daughter. My only child. You must
not worry so much. He sounds just like your father.
