America has gotten its ass kicked in every war since WW2 save the 1st Gulf War so naturally they have to make movies about wars they won with modest degrees of success.

Give it 10 more years and nobody will even remember what WW2 was.

I'm not shitting you when I say this but I have personally encountered over TWENTY American kids aged 22 and younger who have never even heard of Hitler.

The UK and America make Holocaust movies because they still view that as the most historic humanitarian act in their history....

Seriously though, when today's kids don't even know who Hitler is outside of being shouted as an insult....you know the world, and Europe, have moved on.

Frankly, even the UK has moved on. It's just America who's still making hoards of Holocaust movies.

I'm getting out as soon as I have the money. My grandparents came from Germany after the war and I've been trying to get my German(and thus EU citizenship) since 2007.

I do NOT want to be in this country in 10 years. Police will shake down ordinary people for money.
