A polarizing movie, isn't it? People seem to be going nuts for it or kind of shrugging one shoulder. I'm afraid I'm of the latter camp. Felt way too over the top for me. There were audible chuckles in my particular audience when one of the dastardly villains was onscreen. I had recently seen MILLION DOLLAR BABY again on an airplane, and it did not hold up well to repeat viewing. I have the same feeling about this one. A lot of the heavy-handedness will be apparent to all over time. But by then, it may well have an Oscar in hand.
