You have disected this and nailed the pieces to the white man's cross. I am sure that black persons' instincts have cautioned them concerning this mythic candidate but they most likely view him as the " thin edge of the wedge ". It is a shame that while he is emerging we have no time now for on the job training. Right now we must choose a real leader and not a King for a day.

"It is a shame that while he is emerging we have no time now for on the job training." Hhhmmm. It seems to me that WHOEVER "we" elect as our next President, we're going to HAVE to allow time for "on the job training." That goes for Hillary or Rudy or John Mc Cain, etc., etc., etc. Unlike the computer that you're using to comment on these threads, being President of the United States DOESN'T come with a training manual. That means, WHOEVER is elected is going to HAVE to be accorded a "learning curve." It must've been rough on George Washington, though; HE had NOBODY to LEARN from. With George, it was swim or drown!

Mr. Ehrenstein...
Aren't you white? What I have had enough of is white people telling Black people how or what they should think about other Black people! I am an African American woman and I will probably vote for Hillary, based on her experience and also because she is a woman...but I don't need you to analyze Obama for me...thank you very much!

The lilly white liberal democrats on Long Island are very accepting of Obama, as long as he doesn't show up at their country club.
