I try to ignore JacKASS whenever the opportunity presents itself. Although, I can't help but wonder, how often did he compare the Ryan Regime to the "Outfit?" Seems as though that would have been equally appropriate.

What was the point of that video? It told me nothing new. He makes it sound like Obama got a free house from Tony. And that George Washington was on the take. We all know George Ryan was on the take but again thats old news.

Thank you for a very entertaining video panarama. I have been visiting the Chicago Tribune web site for the last couple of weeks and have been fascinated with the stories and issues in you city and state. Its been an eye opener and I especially enjoy your irreverent style. I have a new respect for "The Chicago Way".

It is the lack of independent minded voters in this city that continues to allow the "Chicago Way" to exist and in my opinion that is not the "American Way". Chicago politics is more like a dictatorship in the appearance of democracy. Why people continue to vote for Daley is beyond me. Honestly, I can't say I blame them because we really have not had any true contenders to run against the dictator. I wonder why. Do we have no other leadership in the city? No, I don't think that that is the case. I think that Daley shrewdly does a good job keeping both the unions and the business community in the palm of his hand, he is quite the political talent.

Unfortunately we don't seem to have any talented well funded leaders in this city willing to take on this powerful democratic machine(kind of an ironic name) like our fore father's did when they fought and sacrificed to free us from the tyranny of the England. I would really like to see someone who truly cares about the best interest of everyone in this city run for mayor. Some one who is talented and will eliminate the wasteful spending and the ever increasing taxes. Someone who has the financial means to take on the well funded Dem machine. I don't care if they are a democrat or a republican. Some one who will move this entire city forward without raping our pockets and leaving us to make the hard decisions on what to do with the little money we have left. One of the major reasons for fighting the English for independence was so that we could be free from the financial bondage that they were putting us in with high taxes. Daley is what he is, a shrewd thug of a politician and Stroger well that is not that different of a story except that he is just stupid.

Mr. Fran St. Albert of Edmonton Canada, trust me there is nothing to respect about the "Chicago Way". It is oppressive and undemocratic so what is to respect about that? I appreciate your interest in American politics, particularly Chicago, but please make sure that your comments make sense.

Don't just visit a website. Come to Chicago and spend weekend downtown. That way we can knock you upside the heads with airport and hotel taxes. Someone has to foot the bill for this crooked city and county and I like to see tourists help me pay up.

Why would he do that? He is a US Senator. If he doesn't win he will be writing books making millions. Along with writing in some new laws for this country to follow. But even Obama as smart as he is wouldn't be able to knock off King Daley. This city is run to well. Maybe if the city didn't look so great and had so many high paying jobs he could beat Daley but that's not going to happen.

Does anybody really know what the Better Government Association does?? I always listen/watch the media talk to Jay Stewart, the Executive Director. All he seems to do is basically agree with the story at hand which the media brings to him. Does the Better Government Association ever investigate corruption or uncover corruption. The only investigations I hear about are from the media and FBI. Who is this association funded by and what is their job? Because with all the corruption in the City of Chicago and Cook County,(which never changes) it seems like we don't need this association. Maybe eliminating it can save tax payers money.

The BGA is a privately funded organzation. It's a watch dog group.
