"even once for the big screen (a cult classic with Timothy Dalton)-- Are we talking about Flash Gordon or Buck Rogers? Buck Rogers was the TV show without Dalton and Flash Gordon was the Movie with Timothy Dalton.

I think you're confusing Timothy Dalton's role as Prince Barin in Flash Gordon (1980). He's never played Buck Rogers as far as I can tell.

Buck Rogers was a film serial in 1939 and a movie with Gil Gerard.
Timothy Dalton (Prince Baron) was in Flash Gordon (1980).
Easy mistake since Larry 'Buster' Crabbe played both in the serials at Universal

We will see what this Frank Miller comes up with. Hard times in the movie biz as elsewhere in the economy.

I have to say I fail to see anything interesting in Frank Miller's movie work.

He is a stunning artist, but his films have left me entirely uninterested.

Of course, as Hollywood has reduced the art of film to illustrating comic books it's no wonder they think that having comic book artists direct is a great idea.:(

I never heard of his movies. He must be a great con artist. Knows how to snow people and raise the money.

Daily Horoscope for January 2

Taurus

It's important that you keep that famous bull-headedness in check over the next couple of weeks. Be cool, calm and sensible and you'll find that you end up with things correctly and tidily done. Stick to the straight and narrow, no matter what the distractions or irritations around you. If you think outside the square, you'll begin to see how visualisation can change and shape your life. Trust your hunches and be ready to move on them.
