Wow! It's no wonder so many turn away from the church. I have to say that I did so for quite awhile because of this type of behavior.
I am thankful that my family and I are members of Fairview Presbyterian and am most thankful to GOD for leading me there.
Edyths' messages always emphasize "What would Jesus do?" The answer is always love one another as he loves us. No difference of opinion over anything should ever lead to this kind of anonymous gossip.
If someone has been hurt by Edyth or the church they should discuss the situation with Edyth personally or the congregation as a whole, just as he bible says.
Edyth has never tried to tell me what I should believe in politically. In fact, we have opposing political views, but she has still managed to minister to me during my transition from unemployment to full-time student and mother.
I have never had a pastor that I felt cared so much about their church.

I can not believe what comes from some of the people mouths that claim to be Christians. I do not blame you for not wanting to be any part of a church that condones this kind of attitude toward other people. Then again this church may not be aware that they have people going there that have this feeling about others. It is hard to tell any more that you have so many people there that just play church and their true being surfaces outside of the church.
