It was hard at times for Edyth to talk with me and my wife but we are still praying for her.

Her and her husban hated me for saying how I felt about Obama we still have freedom in this country. And we help the church raise money for all their projects. Man its hurt us bad. But we have forgiven her.

In what possible way did I NOT help out? I went on mission trips representing the church when others would not, I built homes for the needy when they needed them when others would not, I spent 3 years on session as an elder making sure that you had a meal every month or there abouts when others would not, I prepped the meals and did most of the cooking when others did not... so why don't YOU DO SOMETHING instead of telling me what I didn't do?

A lot of people are giving my wife Edyth a hard time because I'm not sitting in church every Sunday. Some of these people are trying to knock her down for doing a job that I personally could not or would not do. Edyth has a way of seeing things and taking care of people better than anyone that I know. Me on the other hand, like to tell you like I see it.The organized church today has a language that allows people to express a concern with-out getting involved by direct face to face contact. These people are the same ones that will stab you in the back or try to kick you when they think that they can get away with it. That's why I don't sit in church every Sunday because it causes stress on me that I have to repress to keep from strangling someone for being two faced. ... MIKE PRUITT

GUESS WHAT JOE, IT'S PEOPLE LIKE YOU WHO MAKE PEOPLE... NOT WANT TO GO TO CHURCH!
I don't know you or this church that you are inviting me to, but I would never step a foot in that door. You need to stop and take a look at the type of representation of Lenoir Community Church YOU are putting out there. I certainly wouldn't want my Church represented by you or the others who are teaming up with you to put a WOMAN out of the chuch. I haven't heard one single comment in all of this petty self rightousness that would lead me to think that this woman was not worthy of serving God, sharing her love of God, or Leading a Church.
You Sir/Mam (whatever you are) you are making, "THE BABY JESUS CRY"! If you grew up in my house, you would know what that means. It's not a spanking or a time-out, it's worse.....you made Jesus cry, which means, "YOU HAVE BEEN VERY BAD"! Take a look at yourself and if you truly are a believer in Jesus.....PRAY FOR HIS GUIDANCE! I ASSURE YOU THAT THIS TYPE OF BANTER IS NOT LEAD BY HIM!

UM.....LIBERAL POLICY IS ALL ABOUT TREATING PEOPLE EQUAL AND GIVING EVERYONE A CHANCE AT HAVING ACCESS TO THEIR BASIC NEEDs (Everywhere, especially in the US).
SOUNDS LIKE A RACIST COMMENT TO ME!
I know for a fact that this woman gives a lot of her time to helping those in need here in Caldwell County. She spends many hours during her week helping and organizing a shelter in Lenoir. Not only does she make sure people in this community have basic needs, like food; but she also counsels those that are: unemployed, addicted to drugs, suicidal, abused, young with children, and those that are just lost in life.
Shame on anyone that would dismiss all of the good this woman has done.

Sorry I'm just catching up on all of the posts that have nothing to do with, The Sound of Music, or maybe it does??? Anyway I've been pretty busy with the role of Maria and I'm just now getting a chance to read the posts. I would have loved to have come to Edyth's Church and sang. Wish I had known that one of her members had wanted us there. I've visted Edyth's Church many times and I've always felt welcome. I'd be more than happy to stop by and perform anytime!
Seems so ironic that Edyth would be persecuted this way while directing a Show that is all about persecution. How odd that we as a society can be this far behind. Have we not learned anything?

Joe ... How dare you ruin the good reputation of a town like Casar. We all know that you live right in the middle of the town of Lenoir. Your words are as mean spirited as ever, and you try to stir a pot of stink everywhere you go. Try signing you name and take the heat or your own words ... I do.... MIKE PRUITT

You so called church people are quite sickening in my opinion - the one adage tht comes to my mind is "Judge not lest ye be judged". I have known Edyth and her husband Mike for many years and have always been impressed by the dedication and the love that he has shown to the community and to the church. Why else would my wife have chosen Edyth to baptize her and help her seek her own individual path to salvation. Any true disciple of Christ realizes that witnessing for the lord is accomplished in ways within and outside of the church physical. If you propose that you are members of the true Christian faith then you should be acting as Christ would. Shame on you for allowing your political views to conflict with your own Christian selves. To publically slander a caring devited woman in this manner is truly among one of the lowest acts you could perpetrate. One of the greatest injustices in this world is that shallow minded conservatives like yourselves have tried to claim the Christian faith as a "Republican only" tenet, and persecuting anyone in this "Limbaugh like fashion" who doesn't toe the line of your beliefs. Love they neighbor and care for him, thats all this administration has done- constantly trying to better the lives of those who are less fortunate than yourselves, yet you have been blinded by this earthly propaganda, and refuse to act as Christians should. The faith is not about focusing on yourselves! Edyth I am sorry that your parish has to endure the narrow minded bigotry these individuals have displayed. I can only hope that the majority of your parishoners are more faith driven and less childish and self righteous than the posters here have displayed themselves to be! God Bless you for all the wonderful things you have done and continue to do. You are always in my and Linda's thoughts and prayers. I wish we could be closer to support you and Mike in all your endeavors!
