Cult TV Mark

#1 May 21, 2007
Hi, I'm Mark, one of the organisers of this year's Cult TV Weekender. We're proud to announce that Heather Menzies is one of 16 announced guests so far, at the Weekender, which runs between 19-22 October 2007.

Heather is of course best known to you all as Louisa von Trapp in the feature film has a distinguished acting career in film and TV.

We didn't want you to miss out on meeting Heather, on what will be her first UK convention appearance, so I hope it's OK to post this here.

Even my Mum, who isn't the biggest cult TV fan says she wants to come as The Sound of Music is her favourite film (with Christopher Plummer her favourite actor). She also wants to meet another of our guests who played 'Dusty' in Dallas.

More about Cult TV:

Cult TV in the UK has, for the last 24 years, been a grass roots fan movement, celebrating TV with a cult following from the 1960s right up to today’s cult hits from both the UK and the USA. It is run entirely by unpaid volunteers, offering you the best value it can, not for the benefit of shareholders but for the well-being of various charities.

Visit our website: www.cult.tv

Your registration fee includes access to all the Weekender’s events from Noon Friday until Noon Monday – interviews, workshops, quizzes, games, charity auctions, exclusive screenings, merchandise traders hall, 24 hour video rooms, theme parties, the Friday night fun & games, the Saturday Awards Ceremony and the Sunday Star Cabaret. You also get two free autographs from all our celebrity guests (subject to their availability)– one on your event brochure (a souvenir that is also included in your registration fee), and one on something of your own. You also get an extensive ‘pack’ containing all sorts of goodies! Your accommodation cost includes three nights’ bed, breakfast and evening meal.

The venue is the Heythrop Park Hotel, nr. Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire, UK. This year’s venue is a historic English stately home with state of the art conference facilities and modern bedrooms and provides excellent value for our attendees. Click here for the hotel website: http://www.heythroppark.co.uk
The hotel is situated between London and Birmingham and is a short distance from the M40 motorway. We are a train ride away from London Heathrow and Birmingham International airports.

This year’s charity is the Cinema & television Benevolent Fund (CTBF) and their website is at: http://www.ctbf.co.uk/pressreleases/CultTV.ht...
Our charity fund-raising to date has raised over GBP48,000.

The other 15 announced guests are here:

Keep clicking on the above link for the latest guest announcements as there will be a few more additions!

As with events of this type, guests appear subject to work and personal commitments.

The cost of the weekend is GBP89 (approx Euro 125/ US$178); full booking details including an online booking facility are at www.culttv.biz

Accommodation is from less than GBP40.00 (approx Euro 56 / US$80) per night for dinner, bed and breakfast - see http://www.cult.tv/index.php... for the full range on offer

Cult TV is a non-stop, 72 hour event - no starting late and finishing early. Party on late with our themed parties. You get choice and lots of it. Can't sleep?- hit the screening room, the all night bar or buy a late night bap [hot sandwich]! We're fun! We enjoy the series we celebrate.

So if you like some of the other guests we have and TV shows they've been in and don't want to miss the opportunity to meet Heather and hear he talk about her career and much else, we're really the event for you this October!
