What a shame! Considering the fact that my aunt recently died at the ripe old age of 95, and
my mother knows another woman who is 101, age 83 almost sounds too young to die these days!

This is indeed a tragedy of epic proportions. I had no idea he was even sick and now he's dead. News like this really makes you wonder, don't you think?

A very sad day indeed. He was one of the REALLY great ones. I only knew him as Columbo, but an article at the AP said he had a very long and interesting career. And that he almost didn't make it as an actor, but thank God he did.

RIP, Peter Falk. Columbo was only ONE of your great characters, but 'he' looked like the one you had the best time with.

People often mistake personality for intelligence.

Columbo captured that light absent minded personality yet smarter than a whip intelligence really well.

He was a likeable character in most all of his roles.
