2012 Is A Disaster Film That Is Truly A Disaster

Disaster movies have made audiences cringe in their seats for many years, The Towering Inferno was one of the best, Earthquake was probably the best.

It is truly amazing that Geology News can't leave this poor movie alone. As if the field of Geology retains the sole right to judge a movie based on its scientific field. Movies should be reviewed by people who fully understand cinema and not by smarmy, uneducated twits. People, this is a very good movie. It is not great, but very good. You will be entertained, which is the goal of cinema. Don't listen to the tripe served up in this review. On a geologic scale, I give this review a magnitude 9.5 for the destruction it is trying to do to a fine movie.

And here I thought these were the same people! You'd complain if the people in the movie could walk through walls or grow three feet taller in a day. In order for a movie to be good it has to be captivating. It doesn't have to be true to reality, but if it pretends to be real it should obey the laws of physics. It is the educated people who think it is trash. It is the uneducated trailer park living, Wal-Mart shopping, Faux News listening people who will fork over their money for this tripe.

It did not meet my expectations. WHen I saw the trailer for the movie I thought it was going to be an awesome movie, but it is not. I bought the movie today and I watched it with my family. It was a dispointment to me. Not that I am one of those smarmy people, but it just wasn't a good movie. They made the trailer look awesome only graving the good parts of the movie, which are few. At least it was a good movie. It is not a waste of time, and I'm not discouraging people from watching it. Go on and watch, we are all different and my expectations are different from yours.
