Too bad it takes an outsider to come over and tell us how amazing and wonderful El Paso really is. Haters unite, this is your calling to come in and thrash this article. Regardless, as loud and boisterous as you might be on this forum, you are the minority. Nothing but love for EL PASO.

He is not telling us how wonderful El Paso is, but hopefully this will share with the rest of the country what we already know.
Many people retired from the military can attest to this. They have been all over the US and the world, and chose to come back to El Paso to make it their home.
The Plaza is our pearl and attending brought back fond memories. The film festival was great and is creating new memories.
If you missed it, you really missed out.

I think that Bogdanovich's Last Picture Show is one of the greatest films of it's era, and he's become Hollywood's best historian-in-residence. I'm happy he had good things to say about the Festival, all of it deserved.

Last year, we saw Giant at the Plaza. At the end of the movie, the crowd cheered with approval and enthusiasm. It was quite an experience.

Loved the festival. The Plaza Theater is beautiful. Hearing the organ, seeing the stars, and watching the light show made the entire experience fantastic. Kudos to those who made it possible.
