Many thanks to you all. My son has a goal(S)...a direction in his life and I'm proud of him. As a mother supporting two children in college, it is good to see something of all the hard work coming from my efforts; TIME from traveling to and from auditions & filming, and time taken off from my work, MONEY spent for gas, lodging, meals, photo shoots, etc., SUPPORT & ENCOURAGEMENT for all my children to succeed in life not just for fame and fortune, but for happiness and enjoyment in their daily lives.
With the ever-changing world, you always have to have a back-up plan in everything you do...hence actor/lawyer. Or combine both careers and utilize it to the best of your abilities to help others, which I know he will do. Again, thank you all for your supporting comment.

Congratulations!! I can imagine how proud you are of your kids, and how proud they are of themselves, theres nothing wrong with that. How else r they going to know they are the best, only to let them know everyday they are our pride and joy, so good luck and keep going with your kids dreams and fullfilling it for them, you have to be a great lady!!!!

Go Shelby, I am very proud of you! Always remember your roots, where you started, keep grounded, be humble, always keep prayers and songs in your life. And you will overcome all the challenges in life and keep striving for best, we need more young Navajo children representing our Dine People out there. I don't claim to know this young man, but I'm proud to say we're from the same hometown. Keep up the good work and ultimately get that degree above all else. It's good to know the younger generation have dreams and are pursuing them with the help of their parents.

Like Mark, I too would love to one day be a part of the film industry. I have done all of my homework, gotten myself familiar with the laws and policies of the industry- particularly the copyright laws, which I learned by reading the most informative book on the subject matter, "Clearance and Copyright," by Michael C. Donaldson. It seems now that I am just waiting for my big break.

I might've stepped on toes, so what!
I've known a couple of kids that get this "break" only to be brought down from their high horse. They said what he is saying now...dejavu all over...
Only telling it like it is folks.
You're nothing but a classic example of one of "the crabs in a barrel"--just when one of your own is about to make it out, you try to drag him down.

I am so excited to go to the small school as Shelby! I don't know him personally, but he inspires me to drive on! I have seen pictures of him and he does look like he belongs in film! Congrats!"The Real Proud Mom", you too are such an inspiration to me and my family. My mom said "She would love to have a son like yours." Many blessings to you Shelby and your family!
