Neil Diamond's creatively is fueled by his massive hatred of immigrants. His love of this great and beautiful nation, and his hatred of all people with dark skin lead him to write 'Coming to America'.

I am thinking of starting a website, called www.lameassedshowsattheBOK.com OMG, can we see if we can get Tom Jones to open for him. Have you seen the list of coming events at the Ford Center?
Bon Jovi, Rush, Foo Fighters, John Mellicamp. They had Linkin Park, last Feb. I thought the reason for the BOK was to bring in big events. I know its just a start, but really I thought Neil Diamond was dead or in a nursing home by now. I'm gonna order those ticket right now.

I like how you guys think. Musical acts are only valid if we like them. They aren't necessarily catering to those of us who listen to Rock and Roll, they are catering to the "rich" citizens of Tulsa, who think Neil Diamond "is" Rock and Roll.
The ones who can and are willing to pay hundreds of dollars to see Neil. I guess we are regulated to see small acts at Cains or Brady.

Just because someone says its a fact doesn't mean it really is. I have been to all the Diamond concerts in Oklahoma for 30 years and never got that impression about him.

I agree. Everyone is paying for this center. I think that all types of music should be hosted here. I do not want certain types excluded because certain individuals find that music distasteful.

OK, so I understand that you young people would like some of "your" music at the BOK. I agree. However, there are LOTS of us baby boomers who adore Neil Diamond and couldn't be happier! If you want some of your bands to come to Tulsa, get up a petition and send it to them! Let them know they are wanted! In the meantime, there is no need to get a bit so judgemental. There are lots of people with lots of different tastes. We "old people" don't begrudge any of you your entertainment, please have the same courtesy.

I used to work at the Tulsa Convention Center and also the PAC way back in the late 70's early 80's and saw ZZ Top,Crosby Stills Nash, Neil Young, Alice Cooper,Boston, Charlie Daniels,Kiss,Aerosmith etc. I loved that place. Tickets were $7,$8,& $9 and it was general admission seating. Then they stopped general admission seating. Then they started to raise the concert ticket prices and the last time I went to a concert there it was Neil Young and the Shocking Pinks. They had motorcycle officers walking up and down the aisles and were arresting anyone drunk or stoned and had the floor lights up so you couldn't really even see the stage. I was not drunk or stoned but it was a total distraction to the concert. That's when I decided enough was enough. I still go to the Old Lady on Brady to see concerts but will not be attending the New BOK Center. Neil Diamond-Mmmmmm-I would love to see him but by the time the Ticket conglomerates buy all of the best seats they will be trying to sell them to us for $150-$200 for the cheap seats. Its all about the Benjamins these days.
