Sad...just very sad.
Children AND ADULTS must be strong in mind, not just body, to be able to push away temptation before you get hooked and addiction takes over.

His family should take solice in the things Brad accomplished during his career as an actor. What a gift...to be able to view his movies and to be able to always see your loved one eternally young abd doing something he enjoyed.

Too Too Sad..........

Another young life thrown away ... probably due to drugs or some other excess that's the norm in Hollywood.

I never thought of that. He will always be in those movies and for those who loved him, that would be a great comfort, I imagine, to see him again.

At least he wasn't estranged from his family and if nothing else he knew their love before he passed. R.I.P. Brad....we'll see you sooner or later up there!!!

I've been lucky enough to meet him and spend some days with him this summer, he was a good guy, he was genuine, funny and it's hard to deal with the fact that he's gone now. I cant believe it.
My deepest condolences to those who knew and loved him and especially to his friends who shared the house in L.A. with him, I can only imagine how hard this is for them as its already damn hard for me to cope with this.

R.I.P. Brad
You will be greatly missed

My father's sister Thelma was Brad's grandmother and I was shocked when I saw the news on the CNN web site. He got a break as a child and this was huge for a small boy from Knoxville, TN. I know his family will miss him dearly. No matter what he did in his life its no more than the other "child" stars get into and to dwell on the negative and say he was washed up in 2005 wasn't being fair to Brad everyone deserves a 2nd chance. He was a good actor in the movies that he did star in. Theres alot of pressure and enticement with being a star at such an early age and theres always good with the bad. You'll be missed CUZ.

We have no reason to feel "sorry" for Brad, he no longer has to deal with this life - good or bad, we can only hopeand pray that he had made peace with his Maker before he died. Our sympathy should be for his family, no matter what your son, grandson, father, brother ect.. does you are still hurt and devastated by their death. Brad's race here on earth is now over all our thoughts and prayers should be with his family and loved ones left to deal with their loss. It is totally disrespectful to bad mouth a person who has just passed especially when their family can hear or read it!
M.E., J.H. & H.R. We love you and we are so sorry for your loss. D.&L.M.

I am so saddened that Brad died. Sure he had his problems, but who doesn't?? He was a beautiful person and taken way too soon. I'm anxious to see his new movie coming out and I know that I will buy it just because it was his last piece of work. He was a very talented actor. RIP Brad. I'm praying for his family and friends.

Where is the respect for a fellow human being?
Who are we to judge? I believe the Bible teaches us to judge NOT! Least we be judged. By some strange fate of life, I wonder if "oh please" is the only perfect person living on this earth since
Jesus! He said "there is none perfect, no not one!
Is there now another perfect one living among us?
Brad, I am sure had many short comings just as do each of us. I only hope "oh please" never has to meet heartachs, for what goes around comes back around! Perhaps there will be no comfort for you when that time comes.(and it will come) when you least expect it. With this kind of attitude, it may be sooner than later. Thank God for His mercy...Brad has no struggles now, He is at rest.

As a Knoxville native myself, I love to see it when local people make it big. I am the same age as Brad and I remember when he got the role in the client. I have always strived to have an acting career such as Brad's even from the age of "The Client". Honestly, I've looked up to Brad's career as a motivating factor for myself. It is reassuring to know that people from the same small place in the world can do what you so badly dream of doing. It is sad to see the turn that Brad's life took, and of course most Hollywood media will primarily focus on the mistakes he made instead of the career he accomplished. I feel for his family and friends. However, loss can only create memories, so please make those memories you may have of Brad pleasant and truthful.

I sincerely believe that with time Brad could have been one of the most sought after and respected actors in Hollywood. Even though he accomplished much, he will now go down in history with others that were taken too early such as James Dean and River Phoenix.

You finally get to rest in peace Brad. Thanks for the confidence, motivation, and the memories.

everybody please refrain from the disrespectful comments. put yourself in his family's shoes and think of how you would feel if someone spoke ill words of your recently deceased family member. please do not bring any more hurt to these people, as they are already suffering.
life is hard and sometimes people deal with it in unhealthy ways. brad was making an effort but sometimes the addiction is just too strong. my deepest condolances go out to his family and friends.

This person sounds so utterly stupid, go back and read your comments, is this your sick way to get attention on the death of someone else, and the tragedy that his family now has to deal with? If you can't say something that sounds half normal don't respond its ignorant people like you that make problems in the world with your negativity.

I've been addicted to hard drugs....been on the spike for over ten years..
I have been clean for just over six months..

I have never gotten any symphathy from anyone...no love....just ridicule and bitterness.....and here this kid was doing what I did...and he died....and you fall on your knees and holler to the heavens about how sweet he was..

I was raside very well....am a good decent person...NEVER stole to support my habits...always worked and payed my bills....and I guarrantee you...you all would call me scum because I was a junkie......but this kid was cute...and it wasn't HIS fault he was a druggie....he was such a victim..right?

You all would say I was an evil man for 'choosing' to do drugs..

Just goes to show...if you are popular...people treat you better than the average guy...and you can 'do no wrong'..

To those who have posted some very negative, ignorant, and hurtful comments here: Please for the sake of Brad, his family and the thousands of active addicts and recovering addicts, get some education about the disease of addiction. Substance abuse can be cured. However, once the brain crosses over to addiction, there is no turning back and there is no choice other than abstaining from all substance use. To continue using is to destroy one's life. Abstainance is very difficult, especially in early recovery. Writers, please do some serious reading about addiction before commenting here. Unfortunately, the stigma of this disorder continues ... and your stupidity does nothing but make it worse.

This is so sad. I have followed his career since I was a kid. He was so talented. We need not dwell on what possibly took his life, he was so much more then that. My thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and countless fans morning his loss.

I just found out that Brad passed away and the tears have been very hard to hold back. It's quite unfortunate that everyone is jumping to such conclusions as to the reason for his death, which is still unknown. Whatever happened, we can count on the media to make it look it's worst. How many young celebrities will parish before we realize that we are ruining people's lives with our selfish conquest to exploit their every flaw? RIP Brad, you will be missed.
