Sam's Club Red Kettle Thieves Sentenced

An Albemarle County judge convicted all four people involved in the Christmas-time theft of a Salvation Army red kettle.

That was quick. It's unusual in this time and day. Good for LE and judicial.

I understand that times are hard now and a lot of us are having financial issues but reality is how much money could they have gotten from one kettle to split between four people. What were they thinking?

So, how many dollars did they get?

This crime got so much press because the media created a big deal out of nothing.
The judge threw the book at them because of the media focus.
My house was robbed in midday last year - computers, jewelry, TV, cameras and more. There wasn't even a mention in tV or the newspapers.
As a result , no pressure, no one caught, very little investigation...

Notheing but pure white trash. They all should be sent to Gitmo for a few monthes. Then maybe they would try to be the right kind of human being. I do not try and help the needy anymore, the more you help this kind of people, the more the want or try to get for nothing. And have found out that for every person who really needs your help and thanks you for it, there is the ones who just dont have anything because the know we will give it to them for free. Low lifes. "The judge threw the book at them..." What?? These four conspired to commit robbery of a Salvation Army donation kettle! A false police report was filed. Egnor got free medical care after his alleged injury during the crime. Their charade tried to make fools of the public. I've read nothing about any requirement for restitution, no community service. All they get is 30 days of hot meals, TV and free lodging, courtesy of the taxpayers they scammed. At least the judge could have added that they'd have to spend the summer doing grounds maintenance at the Salvation Army properties. Doesn't the Commonwealth allow the judges any room for imaginative sentencing in meting out justice?

Too bad they got caught! The salvation army steels all the time! There also a bunch of liers. I was a member of there "church", and how they hated the poor!
The red kettle money DOES NO GOOD! The truth is it goes to pay bills, and is also used for the officers lavish high on the hog life style!
