He knew. He should be in prison, not some lame ass county jail. Another example of the former county attorney and her lack of talent.

Heck, Pawlenty would probably pardon the jerk, and the Rube write a beauitiful PPress story on him.

He knew, and should be publicly shot.

Nothing is wrong with this picture. You most likely didn't have information police wanted that would prove helpful in a homicide case. I venture to say that Lentz was given a light sentence in exchange for information and willingness to testify against Martin. It's called a plea bargain and routine. His statements may have factored in to Martin changing his plea from not guilty to guilty, saving us all the heartache and costs involved in a trial.

30 days is not enough. I don't know what happened behind the scenes as someone suggested but still he told a few different stories about what happened and it sounds like if he would have said nothing if he had the choice. I'd kind of like to hear what he says about how things went but from what is reported here seems like he should have gotten the year right off the bat.

Work in a prison for a year or so and you would not be so quick to judge. He had no criminal record and so has some credibility. He now has a felony on his record. He will pay for this the rest of his life. Get a grip on the real world.
