Looks like the Brits have re-made STAND BY ME with a movie called SUMMER SCARS.

Its out on DVD Sept 30th courtesy of TLA - Danger After Dark

Okay, now I've seen SUMMER SCARS and its not a re-make. It's an original story based on true events which some critics compared to STAND BY ME.
It's a low budget film shot in HDV and the english accents are difficult, but it did keep me gripped until the very end, not to mention a little unsettled.
I would give 3 out of 5 stars
